Kiera Fogg – Crystal Gridwork

When I was seven years old in 1960, I built my first crystal radio. Made up of a galena crystal, a thin wire called a “cat’s whisker”, a coil of copper wire and a single ear piece, I was able to hear transmissions from Chicago, Canada, Tennessee and other “far- away” places. For me at seven, anyplace outside of New York was far away. That galena crystal was my magic carpet, opening my imagination and mind. My love affair with crystals amped up in my mid 30’s when my path reopened to the subtle energy that surrounds us. What is the secret of crystals and if one crystal can change your life, what about an array of crystals?

My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Kiera Fogg, says that arrays of crystals called grids can be used for health and wellness, abundance and prosperity, protection, love or simply for inspiration.

Kiera is a writer and speaker on modern wellness and spirituality, a certified Reiki practitioner and an entrepreneur. Her company, Little Box of Rocks, offers healing crystal collections designed to celebrate life’s most magical occasions. Aspects Of Forgiveness

It gives me great pleasure to have Bob Trask on the show. I met him in 1980 taking one of his transformative courses. I was already on a path of self development and his course was pivotal for me. Forgiveness is acceptance. Teaching myself to be an accepting person allows me to become grounded in truth. When I am not accepting, refusing truth, not forgiving of myself and others, I am restricting the flow of wellbeing through my body’s cells and therefore I become vulnerable to cancer and other diseases. When I am accepting and forgiving, I am mentally and emotionally clean, with a healthy body filled with joy.

Bob Trask is a captivating speaker, author of books in four languages and a teacher of new-thought principles with thousands of students in 13 countries. Bob has authored: “Living Free”, Romancing the Soul”, God’s Phone Number”, and TULIPP some of these books are written in several different languages.

Heal A Wounded Heart with Pilar Jennings

Early on in her clinical practice, psychoanalyst Pilar Jennings was presented with a particularly difficult case: a six-year-old girl who, traumatized by loss, had stopped speaking. Feeling challenged by the limitations of her training to respond effectively to the isolating effect of this young girl’s childhood trauma, Pilar decided to take an unconventional treatment approach. She invited her friend Lama Pema, a kind Tibetan Buddhist monk, who had also experienced his own life-shaping trauma at a very young age into their sessions. The result is a fascinating case study that illustrates how Western psychology and Buddhist teachings can intersect to provide a unique therapeutic approach in healing childhood wounds.

The host of the Visionary Activist Radio Show on Pacifica (KPFA in Berkeley and KPFK in LA) for over 22 years, Caroline is also the “Chief Trickster at Coyote Network News, a mythological news service for the Liberating Trickster within us all.”

Caroline’s rich “uncommontary” weaves politics, mythology, astrology, and her wonderful way with language into a sharp and yet encouraging view of our current “shituation.”

In these times of manipulative political narratives, Caroline will help us recognize how the “trickster redeemer” can liberate us from the con artists who nowadays seem to be the only artists who aren’t starving. Most importantly, she helps liberate us from ways we con ourselves, particularly when we become so righteously convinced of our own “rightness” that we miss seeing our own shadow.

A native of Washington DC, Caroline is the last of five children born to an Irish-Democrat-New-Deal Congressman, and a politically active Yankee Swede. She rode on her Dad’s shoulders to Kennedy’s snowy Inauguration, and held his hand in speaker of the House McCormick’s office at Kennedy’s funeral. As she quips, “I grew up around politics, so I was disabused as a child.”

She began studying astrology as a teenager, and considers it one of the great “meta-languages” to help humanity find its place in the cosmos. She has also immersed herself in magic, mythology, literature and social activism, and weaves them all together to — in her words — “compost tyranny into a nutrient for a Renaissance of Reverent Ingenuity, and compost the hubris of humanism into the truth of animism.”

Caroline still lives in the Washington, D.C. area (she calls it a “spiritual hardship post”) and now applies everything she has learned and is learning to bring wisdom, compassion and playfulness to what she calls “the dire beauty of now.”

The Planets This Month: May 2018

Join astrologer, Kelli Fox, to find out how May’s planets will be affecting your sign. May’s big astrological news is the movement of Uranus, that most rebellious of planets, in Taurus, for a seven-year stint. On a global scale, we can expect to see tumultuous changes in our financial systems and perhaps in our weather systems too. Taurus rules the earth so an environmental catastrophe of some kind is not out of the question here, but any such event will prove to be a catalyst for good in the longer term. On a more personal level, each sign will feel the shock of change and upheaval in the area of life which Uranus now begins to transit: we would do well to remember that sometimes things must be torn down in order for something new to grow in its place.

Away from Uranus, May begins on a secretive and perhaps rather manipulative note for many, with two difficult squares on May 7th, between Mercury and Pluto and then between Venus and Neptune. The very next day, a difficult Sun-Jupiter opposition brings pride and ego into the mix, with potentially sudden consequences. Honesty is important at this time, and motives should be for the highest good.

Mid-month Uranus related rumblings are softened to some extent by the arrival of Venus in nurturing Cancer on May 19th, and by a very spiritual Jupiter-Neptune trine on May 25th. If we seek to solve our problems via love and compassion instead of via anger and force, possibilities will open up. May draws to a close with a positive and adventurous Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 29th; this is energy which helps us to think radically different thoughts and to be confident that things will work out OK.
