Dr. Carl Johan Calleman – Quantum Science of Psychedelics

As a child in the 1950’s, I had a subtle awareness that there was more to existence than our five senses perceived. In the 1960’s with the advent of the psychedelic era, older friends who were experimenting with LSD, “magic mushrooms”, and other mind altering substances described the same experiences that I had without the use of these. What was I tapping into? Were there ancient energy and other levels of consciousness available? In later years I came to learn that ancient cultures had these experiences, with and without mind altering substances, and that these were fundamental to understanding what science has termed “quantum reality.” I also learned that there was a connection between the pineal gland, what the ancients called “the third eye” and altered states of consciousness. Is there a way that humanity may once again access this ancient understanding and in doing so restore empathy, compassion and oneness?

My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Dr. Carl Johan Calleman, has made a study of the ancient wisdom of the Maya and how that civilization employed altered states of consciousness to understand the multi-dimensional nature of reality. Dr. Calleman is a scientist with a Ph.D. in biology from the University of Stockholm. He is a former senior researcher of environmental health at the University of Washington, in Seattle, and an expert on carcinogens for the World Health Organization. He is the author of seven books including The Nine Waves of Creation. The Diversity of Ego Energy and Your Wellness

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will discuss three main contributors to one’s ego energy and how each can affect our human and spiritual wellness, for better or worse. In particular, this show will describe and discuss ego power, ego flexibility, and ego vulnerability, and how we can be led into ego stupidity when one or more of them is unhealthy and imbalanced. Specifically, the kinds of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, reflective of ego stupidity, that we can become entangled in, that impact important areas of life involving relationships, achievement, a sense of purpose and meaning, as well as, managing change, adversity, stress, and conflict, each impacting our ability to live the great life we are meant to live. These important areas when ineffectively managed often stand in the way of experiencing genuine happiness, and experiencing a healthy sense of human and spiritual wellness.

During the program, Dr. Nick will be discussing each ego energy contributor and describing what is happening when the “volume level” is low, balanced, or high. This will include examples involving thoughts, behaviors, and feelings, as well as roles people often fall into, such as Dictator, Bully, Victim, Martyr, Authoritarian, Perfectionist, Racist, Sociopath, and so on, that people are living, but often don’t realize, when their ego energy is unhealthy and imbalanced. It’s this awareness that can be used as a reference point for tuning into one’s ego energy. An important contributor to “ego medicine”, which is a common thread connecting all of my It’s Your Ego—Stupid! shows. This show will also look at the impact on our spiritual wellness when unhealthy ego energy is creating distance from Divine Truth and our ability to be the Love, Life, and Energy—God Is, in our daily lives.

Sex trafficking – everyone agrees it’s bad, right?

Well, that depends on what you imagine “sex trafficking” to mean. If the term conjures up innocent women and children being sold into a life of sexual exploitation and slavery, then we all should be against it. But what if “sex trafficking” actually applies to ANY sex for money, with mutual consent?

Our guest on Wiki Politiki, Veronica Monet, is a one-time sex worker who is now a “sexual empowerment change agent” whose website, “The Shame Free Zone” offers “a safe place to explore feelings of shame without being judged.” As someone who sees her own career as a highly paid escort as an expression of self-empowerment, she has a unique and enlightening perspective on how what we imagine “sex trafficking” to be has created more repression, confusion and shame – and doesn’t really address where sexual abuse (and pedophilia) originate: inside the family structure.

Having grown up in a right-wing Christian cult, herself an incest and rape survivor, Veronica brings a rich history and perspective to the highly-politicized and highly-charged issues that involve all aspects of sexuality. Veronica Monet has appeared on CNN, FOX, Politically Incorrect, and presented at Yale, Stanford and UC Berkeley. She is the author of Sex Secrets of Escorts and the soon to be published Love, Lust and Romance in the Wake of #MeToo, and she is creator of the Exquisite Partnership Formula, a program designed to turn conflict into connection and sex that gets better with each passing year.

Regarding her own choice to become a sex worker, Veronica writes:

Transformation 101: Love and Fear

This week, let’s get back to basics. First off, all transformation is an inside job. Personal growth takes place at the level of the mind; this in fact applies to all growth.

Join me over the next three weeks for Transformation 101. We will cover some of the basics of personal growth and spirituality, for in case you were wondering, they are one and the same. Transformation takes place at the spiritual level.

We begin with love and fear. People have many labels for feelings and emotions, all of them with different levels and gradients, all separated and subdivided into different categories for our analysis, discussion, and ultimately confusion. You heard that right: our confusion. In truth there are only two emotions: love and fear. Every label that we use—such as anger, joy, frustration, lightheartedness, etc.—belongs to one of these two categories.

We are all talking to ourselves constantly, hearing and participating in a dialogue. There is always a voice in your head. No, you are not crazy, unless of course you listen to the voice of fear. When you do that, you keep yourself stuck and small, you experience fear’s manifestations—you get frustrated, sad, etc.

The alternative is to listen to the voice of love. This helps you go big in life, experiencing relief, lightheartedness, happiness, and a sense of purpose. This is the voice to listen to.

Fear keeps us from moving. Love impels it; it is extension. Every moment of every day we have a choice: love or fear, and which we choose determines the course of our life. Have you chosen wrongly in the past? No worries—we all have. Right now, in this moment, we get to choose again.

Let it be empowering to you that you can choose. Plug into love. Call it God, Source, whatever. This is your power. Tap into it. Thrive.
