Ananda More – Magic Pills

In my fifties, I would often experience being awakened from a deep and sound sleep by excruciating pain in my calves. My wife suggested I try these tiny white pills, two or three placed under the tongue, that she found to be effective in relieving and preventing these cramps. I tried them and they worked! On the label was printed the word, “homeopathic.” This was my introduction to homeopathy and later she introduced me to other remedies including Arnica Montana for bruises and other muscle spasms. Each of these treatments, for me, proved to be safe and effective. They were also inexpensive, did not require a prescription and were readily available at our local health food store. If these remedies were this good, why were they not prescribed and recommended by physicians? Furthermore, why did media try to dismiss the benefits of homeopathy and accept the word of skeptics without looking at the scientific data?

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Ananda More, asked these same questions. Ananda began as a skeptic of homeopathy until a profoundly transformational experience while backpacking through India and experiencing homeopathy for herself. She always knew that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others, and instead of going to law school she decided to pursue homeopathy as a career. Ananda graduated from the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine in 2005, went on to study around the world with some of the most highly recognized homeopaths, and became co-owner of Riverdale Homeopathy, a clinic, bookstore, dispensary and general hub for everything homeopathic in North America. She has served on the council for the homeopathic regulatory body of Ontario as well as the board of the Ontario Homeopathic Association. Her path also took her on another journey, a quest to find out why so many questioned the efficacy of homeopathy. Using her wonderful story telling and theatrical background, she produced and directed a breathtaking and moving film of this journey. Paul Anthony Wallis – Escaping from Eden

Genesis 1:26 says in the English Translation: “And God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.” In this reference, the Hebrew word for God is “Elohim.” The problem this presents is that “Elohim” is actually plural for the word “El” and the words “us” and “our” also imply two or more. If there is only one God, why is the name plural and why do the pronouns suggest two or more? Some have said that this reflects the Christian concept of the “Trinity” but with a monotheistic foundation, this predates it. Others have conjectured that the reference includes the feminine divine, but again this would be contrary to the foundation. The question then arises, who were the Elohim that created humanity in their image?

My quest this week on Destination Unlimited, Paul Anthony Wallis, says the answer may well be extraterrestrial. Lower Ego Flexibility and Difficulty Growing the Quality of Your Mind

This week on “It’s Your Ego—Stupid!”, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely into the mirror of growing our mind with truth and how lower ego flexibility can get in the way of this happening. We must each make a concerted effort to learn what we need to learn and unlearn the faulty truths, beliefs, attitudes, and values we may have acquired along the path of our lives. Something our brain helps us to do, but for which we must take ultimate responsibility. Otherwise, we run the risk of acquiring lots of inaccurate, distorted, and even disturbed ideas, beliefs, values, and prejudices, that we often have no clue is taking place. Such is the insidious process of unhealthy, imbalanced ego energy that can be at work in our lives.

Unfortunately, for those with lower ego flexibility they often take a rigid, inflexible approach to the growth of their mind. Difficulties that often stop them from questioning their thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, particularly when they are confronted with new information that challenges these deeply held positions. This difficulty often makes it difficult for them to learn new, reality based truths, modify existing beliefs to bring them in greater alignment with truth, and remove faulty beliefs which are not supported by truth. Roles they often live may include the Authoritarian, the Racist, the Sexist, and the Religious Extremist. Their rigidity and belief that they already “own” the truth also leads them to attempt to convert others to their way of looking at things. During the show, I’ll be looking at symptoms, reflections of ego stupidity, and the impact on spiritual wellness which occurs when caught up in this energy. I’ll also being looking at specific insights needed to transform lower ego flexibility into a healthier and more balanced place.
