Mallika Chopra – Just Breathe: Meditation, Mindfulness, Movement, and More
When my generation was growing up in the late fifties and early sixties, we seemed to live in simpler times. Without the distraction of social media, smart phones and video games, we spent a lot of time engaging in physical activity, reading for school and for pleasure and enjoying the neighborhoods and world around us.
Today’s kids face different challenges. Bombarded with digital communication, upsetting messages from media, social pressure and even bullying, children are facing stress and feeling overwhelmed. What can parents do to help their children learn to de-stress, relax and turn their minds to positivity? My very special guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Mallika Chopra, says the answer is to meditate and “Just Breathe.”
A wellness expert and daughter of Deepak Chopra, Mallika learned to meditate when she was nine years old. Her two daughters, ages fifteen and twelve, also practice meditation. Drawing on their experiences and her own, she wrote JUST BREATHE: Meditation, Mindfulness, Movement and More, a fun and easy guide to meditation for kids. Mallika is the author of Living with Intent, 100 Promises to My Baby and 100 Questions from My Child. She is a busy mom, a sought-after speaker and the founder of Intent.com. She lives in Santa Monica, California, and joins me to discuss her beautifully illustrated and easy to follow book for children 8 to 12, JUST BREATHE: Meditation, Mindfulness, Movement and More.

Mary A. Joyce – Tangible Evidence of Jesus Left Behind for Us To Find
I’ve been fascinated with UFO’s since my own experiences as a child in the 1950’s and 60’s. For as far back as I can remember, I would wake up in the middle of the night, be drawn to the window, and see objects in the sky, often in formation. I also have distinct memories of what some have called abduction but in my personal experience have referred to as “night school.”
I recently learned of the work of my guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Mary A. Joyce. Mary is editor of the “Sky Ships Over Cashiers” website which has been covering a wide variety of cutting-edge topics since 2008. Topics include UFOs, secret underground bases in North Carolina and Tennessee, Bigfoot, Cherokee Little People, archaeological finds and testimonies from those with Above Top-Secret security clearances. Mary’s newspaper experience has made the website a source for reliable information. She has worked for two major metropolitan area newspapers as a feature editor, Sunday magazine editor, columnist and artist. Because of that experience, the website postings are well researched, easy to read and always enhanced with photos and graphics.
She also has written books. The most recent ones are Cherokee Little People Were Real, Underground Military Bases Hidden in North Carolina Mountains, and Tangible Evidence of Jesus Left behind for Us To Find which focuses on scientific and archaeological discoveries about Jesus.
Because of her books and website, Mary has been a frequent guest on radio and TV shows including “Coast to Coast AM”, The Travel Channel and Internet TV shows in Ireland and Australia. In addition to writing, Mary’s career includes working for a major metropolitan air pollution control agency, a community college, eight successful political campaigns, the world’s largest private printing company and a Fortune 100 company where she worked directly with many creative teams including those at Marvel Comics, Golden Books, Mr. Rogers, Berenstain Bears and Steven Spielberg’s “ET” book staff. She joins me this week to discuss her research and share her story.

Ren′ee Damoiselle – Storytelling Alchemy
We all have a story. It is composed of the memories of experiences we have had from childhood on. The story may be crystal clear or distorted by the misperceptions, strong emotions and programming that these events and experiences triggered. This distortion may have a long lasting and profound effect on how we live our lives and deny our ability to see through the fractured glass to the truth and happiness that is our birthright. Is there a way that we may rewrite our stories, resulting in happy endings?
My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Ren′ee Damoiselle, says we can through what she calls “Storytelling Alchemy”. Ren′ee Damoiselle hosts the Witchin’ World Meetup in Phoenix, open to all who are interested in ritual, metaphysics, paganism, magick and diverse spiritual practices. Events include open discussions, ritual circles and empowering workshops. Ren′ee also hosts personal development and spiritual retreats, such as Goddess Divine and the Storytelling Alchemy Retreat held in beautiful destinations such as Sedona, Arizona and the New England countryside. Her website is reneedamoiselle.com and she joins me this week to discuss her book, Storytelling Alchemy-Write Your Own Happy Ending.

Marianne Williamson – The Politics of Love
When I grew up in the 1960’s and seventies, there was a sense of rebirth and renewal in our country. Many of us started looking upon one another and brother and sister and embraced the ideas of sharing, caring love and peace. We lived these ideals as best we could with the hope that future generations would equally embrace them. Somewhere along the way, we have strayed from that path. We have birthed a generation of divisiveness, ego based actions and fear. Is there a way that we can return to the spirit of embracing diversity, caring for one another and moving from fear to love? My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Marianne Williamson, says there is.
Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed lecturer, activist and author of four #1 New York times bestselling books. She has been one of America’s most well known public voices for more than three decades. Seven of her twelve published books have been New York Times best sellers and Marianne has been a popular guest on television programs such as Oprah, Good Morning America, and Bill Maher. A quote from the mega best seller A Return to Love, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…” is considered an anthem for a contemporary generation of seekers.
Marianne’s other books include The Law of Divine Compensation, The Age of Miracles, Everyday Grace, A Woman’s Worth, Illuminata, Healing the Soul of America, A Course in Weight Loss, The Gift of Change, Enchanted Love, A Year of Miracles, and Tears to Triumph: The Spiritual Journey from Suffering to Enlightenment. Her newest book, A Politics of Love: Handbook for a New American Revolution, will be published in 2019.
Marianne is a native of Houston, Texas. In 1989, she founded Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program that serves home-bound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area. To date, Project Angel Food has served over 11 million meals. Marianne also co-founded the Peace Alliance.
She joins me to discuss her new book and her plans to explore a run to become the next President of the United States!

David Collis – Interviewing Jesus The Man
As humans, we ask a lot of questions. Many question our existence, our purpose in life and our connection with the divine as we may or may not perceive it. What if we had the opportunity to sit face to face with great figures from our respective faiths, share coffee, tea and a meal, and ask them to share about their lives, ministries and transitions? What would we learn and how would it affect our personal beliefs and paths?
My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, David Collis did just that. Through extensive historical, biblical and textual research, he developed a thought experiment. His thesis: What would it be like to interview Jesus of Nazareth?A native of Southern California, author David Collis is versed in the humanities, art and religion and holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Art. David is an artist, photographer, carpenter, and designer of a new series of sacred symbols. He characterizes his life as a quest driven by the romance of exploration and invention. Dr. Susan Shumsky – Maharishi and Me
The late 1960’s were a time of great change in the world. After a decade that witnessed the assassination of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy, many were looking for answers to the unanswerable questions, for love and for peace. For some, those answers came from experimentation with mind altering drugs. Others sought answers with mindfulness, introspection and meditation. Celebrities including the Beatles, Donavan, Mike Love of the Beach Boys and actress Mia Farrow traveled to India to study Transcendental Meditation with Guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. This past November marked the 50th anniversary of the Beatles “White Album” and many of the songs were written or inspired by their time with Maharishi. What was that experience like and how did it change not only the Beatles but millions of other seekers.
My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Dr. Susan Shumsky, had a literal “ring side seat” to this experience. Susan spent 22 years in the ashrams and 6 years on the personal staff of Maharishi. A rare insider, Susan shares the secrets of that time, Maharishi’s influence on the Beatles, their lyrics and the TM movement in her book, Maharishi and Me, Seeking Enlightenment with the Beatle’s Guru.
Susan has dedicated her life to helping people take command of their lives in highly effective, powerful, positive ways. She is the best-selling author of 14 books. A pioneer in the human potential field, she has more than 50 years teaching thousands of people meditation, prayer, affirmation, and intuition Her book titles include her defining work Divine Revelation as well as Exploring Meditation, Exploring Auras, Exploring Chakras, How to Hear the Voice of God, and Color Your Chakras. She will be discussing her memoir of her time with Maharishi entitled, Maharishi and Me, Seeking Enlightenment with the Beatle’s Guru.

Dr. Rita Louise – Stepping out of Eden
In 1970, Mike Pinder of the Moody Blues contributed a song to their album, “Question of Balance.” Pinder’s lyric asked the quintessential human question;
“How is it we are here, on this path we walk,
In this world of pointless fear, filled with empty talk,
Descending from the apes as scientist-priests all think,
Will they save us in the end, we’re trembling on the brink.”
Who are we? How did we come to populate planet earth? Were we created by a divine being, an evolutionary process or are we the product of alien intervention or even hybridization? Furthermore, are we the first human civilization to walk this earth or have there been countless civilizations before us…before archaeological records and conscious memory.
My guest this evening on Destination Unlimited, Dr. Rita Louise, has been asking these questions and seeking their answers since childhood. “Fran Dresher’s delivery without the whine”, is how one audience member put Dr. Rita Louise’s frank, funny yet honest approach. Through a powerful synthesis of science and ancient wisdom, her unique insights bridge the worlds of science, spirit and culture and are changing the way we view our place in the world. Dr. Rita possesses the caliber of knowledge and experience that organizations demand. She infuses every engagement with both credibility and content. She has the unique ability to deliver a serious message through intriguing stories and her own brand of humor.
Her high content presentations and down-to-earth strategies empower and motivate audience members to think outside the box. Her unique presentations offer many down-to-earth strategies and empowering solutions. Her deep insights inspire, invigorate and energize people into looking at the world in a completely new way. She’s been featured on numerous radio and television shows including Coast to Coast w/George Noory, Mysterious Universe Radio, the Jerry Pippin Show, X-Zone Radio, Veritas Radio, Fringe Radio, Out Of This World Radio and of course her favorite show, Destination Unlimited.
Her previous books include Avoiding the Cosmic 2 x 4, The Power Within , The E.T. Chronicles: What Myths and Legends Tell Us About Human Origins and Dark Angels. Her websites is soulhealer.com and she joins us this week to discuss her new book, Stepping out of Eden.

Nathan G. Castle – Afterlife, Interrupted: Helping Stuck Souls Cross Over
Near Death Experiences (NDEs) are widely known. Some critical physical event causes a person to float out of their body, experience sights and sounds while unconscious, encounter deceased loved ones or religious figures, and move down a path, through a tunnel or toward an attractive light.|
Some deaths are violent and abrupt; some traumatized souls shut down like an electrical breaker in a lightning storm. They don’t move through the full dying experience. They interrupt it.
Over the past 20 years, Father Nathan G. Castle, OP, has helped at least 250 people who died suddenly adjust to the afterlife. These victims of fires, automobile accidents, shootings, stabbings and drownings came to him in his dreams seeking help. And although such contact was not something he sought out, Father Nathan has come to believe that providing such help is something the Holy Spirit has given him to do.
Nathan G. Castle has been a Catholic priest of the semi-contemplative Dominican Order since 1979 and has served as a campus minister at Arizona State University, University of California, Riverside, and Stanford University. He has prayed for deceased souls since childhood and has helped stuck souls cross over for almost twenty years. He used his first book: And Toto, Too: The Wizard of Oz as a Spiritual Adventure as the basis for healing of trauma retreats for spiritual groups and survivors of natural disasters.
Father Nathan lives in a community of Dominican men and women serving the University of Arizona in Tucson. His website is Nathan-Castle.com, and he joins me this week to discuss his new book, Afterlife, Interrupted: Helping Stuck Souls Cross Over.
