Her Hidden Health Secrets with Dr. Christine Horner, M.D., and author, “Radiant Health, Ageless Beauty”
Millions of Americans stay hush-hush about illnesses like cancer, HPV, lupus and depression. And women, more so than men, often keep their lips sealed when it comes to health problems (think: Jackie Collins, Nora Ephron, Kathy Bates and even Hillary Clinton, as of late). But keeping quiet can be costly to your health.
Natural health expert and award-winning author, Dr. Christine Horner says diseases like breast cancer, depression or a HPV diagnosis can carry a lot of stigma, which causes women to want to hide their diagnosis. But she says being secretive and in the dark about your health status will only hurt you in the end because the stress of not knowing what to do and having no support, will only cause the condition to escalate.
And while modern medicine has done much to eradicate and cure diseases, researchers admit that it has fallen short in many areas that disproportionately affect many women since there is still so much unknown about the diseases that seem to plague women more than men. It may have something to do with the effects of estrogen or what’s known as the hormonal effect for women. Dr. Horner says, without question, more research must be conducted to find new solutions to help women become not only more aware of the warning signs of certain diseases, but knowledgeable on how to prevent them in the first place. However she says women do not need to feel victimized or stigmatized by a disease that has limited answers in modern medicine. There are proactive steps women can take to change the destiny of their diagnosis.
Dr. Horner will share with your audience four disease conditions that modern medicine provides few answers to and the natural medicine game-changers that can help reverse the diagnosis for lupus, HPV, depression and breast cancer.

Acharya Shunya - Ayurveda Lifestyle Wisdom
I first heard about Ayurveda, the ancient Indian spiritual healing wisdom, when I started practicing yoga in my late 30’s. It sounded mysterious, far away, and something that would have little relevance to my 1980’s New York lifestyle. As they say, with age (and experience) comes wisdom and for those with open minds and open hearts, new pathways and possibilities. It also brings new opportunities to meet and learn from wonderful teachers.
This week on Destination Unlimited, we have the privilege and pleasure of welcoming one such teacher, Acharya Shunya, who will share her heritage, wisdom and her new book, Ayurveda Lifestyle Wisdom: A Complete Prescription to Optimize Your Health, Prevent Disease, and Live with Vitality and Joy.
Learning Ayurveda at the knee of her beloved grandfather, who was revered as a saint throughout India, Shunya has become one of the leading American practitioners and advocates. She is the founder of Vedika Global, a spiritual foundation dedicated to elevating consciousness, building community, and serving humanity by illuminating India’s Vedic spiritual traditions of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Vedanta. She was named among the 100 Ayurveda and Yoga Trailblazers by Spirituality and Health magazine and is president of the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine.

How to Navigate Through Life with a Life Changing Medical Diagnosis
Join us for this “WISDOM WEDNESDAY” at 12pm PST / 1PM MT / 2pm CST/ 3pm EST on INSPIRED LIVING RADIO as we welcome special guests, Psychic-Medium/Entrepreneur Diana Blagdon. Joined by husband Larry Blagdon.
http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/inspired-living/
OM TIMES INTERNET RADIO CALL-IN LINE: 1-202-570-7057
TOPIC: How to navigate through life with a life changing medical diagnosis: Diana’s inspirational story of managing and working towards reversing and healing Motor Neuron Disease (also known as ALS and Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
Diana and Larry Blagdon thought their life had settled into a time of pleasant days and quiet evenings shared in a wonderful and nourishing environment on the Door County Peninsula in Northern Wisconsin. They were looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with their youngest son Dennis and his family in October of 2016. Larry had retired from a successful corporate career as CEO of an international business operation and purchased Top Shop a custom canvas shop in 2003, in 2015 he expanded into a 2nd location in Ft Meyers FL. After a 15 year hotel management career Diana made the decision to work full time doing the work she loved, Psychic Life and Business Coach and owner operator of a seasonal metaphysical shop in Fish Creek, WI.
Neither were prepared for the news they received on October 14, 2016. After 18 months of seeking answers to Diana’s one mysterious medical symptom after another and having had multiple doctor visits, MRI’s blood tests, x-rays and a middle of the night emergency room trip they heard the Neurologists say “I think you have ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) a degenerative neuro muscular disease that causes the muscles to weaken over time. There is no cure. Get your affairs in order the average life expectancy is 3-5 years”.
Diana remembers the next few minutes this way. “As I recall Larry took my hand as we left the doctor’s office and said I will get the car, why don’t you wait here” I sat down in the hospital lobby took a deep breath and reminded myself that there is not a disease or condition on the planet that has not been healed.
She picked up her phone “OK Google show me people who have healed from ALS.” She found the website www.healingals.org which recounts the stories of men and women who are managing, reversing and healing Motor Neuron Disease (also known as ALS and Lou Gehrig’s Disease) symptoms holistically.
Diana and Larry are currently writing their healing story one day at a time.

The Planets this Week: April 9 - 15, 2017
What do the planets have in store for us this week?
The big news of the week is Mercury and Venus are changing direction! Mercury is turning retrograde and Venus will be moving forward again! Mercury Retrograde is a phenomenon that has worked its way into mass consciousness. The moment a communication snafu occurs, folks blame Mercury Retrograde! The truth is, not all miscommunications can be laid at the feet of this little planet. But it does behoove us to observe a few simple principles about this event.
Mercury appears to turn backward in its path around the Zodiac three times every year, for about twenty-one or twenty-two days at a time. So every four months, you get a three-week pause in which to catch up on old correspondence, read the book that’s been sitting on your nightstand and make phone calls to friends and family.
Also, love planet Venus will finally moves forward again. It has been retrograde since March 4th. Venus is our next-door neighbor here in the solar system, and therefore it is retrograde the least amount of time of all the planets — only once every 18 months, for about 6 weeks at a time. That amounts to about seven percent of the time, total.
When Venus, the Planet of Love, goes retrograde, it’s no surprise that relationship issues come right to the surface. Things you (or your lover!) have simply been tolerating all of a sudden become intolerable. One or both of you may say or do things that you otherwise wouldn’t. Some folks have been known to make sudden, unilateral relationship moves when Venus was retrograde.
Tune in on Monday 6pm PT/9pm ET to find out more…
