Marianne Williamson – The Politics of Love

When I grew up in the 1960’s and seventies, there was a sense of rebirth and renewal in our country. We lived these ideals as best we could with the hope that future generations would equally embrace them. Somewhere along the way, we have strayed from that path. We have birthed a generation of divisiveness, ego based actions and fear. Is there a way that we can return to the spirit of embracing diversity, caring for one another and moving from fear to love? My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Marianne Williamson, says there is.

Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed lecturer, activist and author of four #1 New York times bestselling books. She has been one of America’s most well known public voices for more than three decades. Seven of her twelve published books have been New York Times best sellers and Marianne has been a popular guest on television programs such as Oprah, Good Morning America, and Bill Maher. Manny Matas, MD, has been clinical psychiatrist for forty years. For most of his professional career, he worked in university teaching hospitals. Dr. Matas is the author of The Borders of Normal: A Clinical Psychiatrist De Stigmatizes Paranormal Phenomena. His book deals with the field of study known as meta-psychiatry (literally: “beyond psychiatry”). Meta-psychiatry represents the confluence of psychiatry with spirituality and metaphysics, which is the philosophy of being and knowing.

Throughout his life, Dr. Matas has had a number of experiences which could be considered anomalous or paranormal. It is his hope that by sharing his knowledge and experience in both psychiatry and the world of the unknown, he will provide a bridge between these two worlds and will give people permission to share their own experiences without shame or embarrassment.

Unity Earth Festival Focuses On Culture, Youth and Regeneration of the Earth

An Interview with Adam Collett, Project Manager of Unity Earth Lift Off

It’s fitting that in 2019, fifty years after Woodstock a new festival has emerged to bring together the “imaginal cells” of a new generation, at a time when humankind (without the “kindness”) sits atop the endangered — and endangering species list.

And this time — unlike Woodstock — there is a worldwide movement, an “upwising” if you will, seeking to bring together awakening youth and indigenous people to bring unity out of diversity. Instead of focusing on the “identity” issues that tend to keep us separate, this festival focused on working together around the IDENTICAL ISSUES that unite us — clean air, clean water, clean food, and clean government.

The actual event, Unity Earth Lift Off is being billed as a “multigenerational, intercultural, interactive concert in celebration of UN World Interfaith Harmony Week” and will be held on February 2, 2019 at the United Palace in New York City.

How fitting that organizers have picked Ground Hog Day, which in our turbulent times we have renamed Man Hog Day… if we fail to see our own shadow, two more years of darkness.

Seriously and humorously, our guest this week is Adam Collett, an Australian native who is the project manager for Unity Earth Lift Off, and who shares a compelling and much-needed vision to unite indigenous elders and the young people who will inherit this world to create a “movement of movements” to unify and mobilize those who are ready for a partnership (as opposed to a dominator) civilization.

Adam is an event producer, cultural liaison and social impact designer from Byron Bay, Australia. Inspired by his mother’s stories from the 1969 Woodstock Festival, Adam has been on a lifelong pursuit to inspire change through transformative events and community initiatives that have the power to deliver tangible outcomes on a local and global scale. Working closely with First Nations elders, global youth leaders, and earth regenerators, Adam is dedicated to combining innovative models and technologies with a deep respect for the culture of local people and places. He is the Project Manager for the UNITY EARTH LIFT OFF on February 2nd, 2019 in New York City.
