In his 1972 classic album “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust”, David Bowie sang
a song about “Starman.” The lyric went, in part,
“There’s a Starman waiting in the sky

In 1976, the Canadian band, Klaatu, released their song, “Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft” which later was recorded and became a hit for the Carpenters.

In Steve Spielberg’s 1982 classic, “E.T. The Extraterrestrial”, E.T. enlists the aid of his human friend Elliott to build a device with which he can “phone home.”

All of these artistic endeavors shared a common theme…communication, in one direction or another, between those on earth with those in the heavens and other plains of existence. I remember the first time I said yes to putting on a seminar. My colleagues just assumed I had spoken in front of a crowd many times before because of my outgoing personality but the truth was other than singing in the choir I had never spoke on stage and I had always been terrified in school years when I had to present or read a speech in front of the class. My nerves ALWAYS got the best of me and my hands would shake like trembling leaves in the wind on a thin branch.
