How to Commit to What Honors You
Aired Monday, May 10, 2021 at 9:00 AM PST / 12:00 PM EST
Do your choices honor you or betray you?
As we go through our lives, we can find ourselves living on autopilot, by default.
When we live this way, our choices can disrespect and betray us.
We can say “Yes” and commit to things that don’t serve us, that aren’t in alignment with our truth. And we can do this even when our inner wisdom is screaming, “No.”
Over time, we can accumulate many subtle dishonoring thoughts and make decisions based on those thoughts.
One common way we can easily disrespect ourselves is by believing that we are not good enough. Stepping into action from that belief dishonors us regardless of the outcome.
Self-honoring is deep and pure action from self-love. It means learning to listen to the voice of your intuition and following it.
Self-honoring means being gentle with yourself, having patience, self-nurturing, and listening to your truth.
Truth is kind. Truth is not demanding. Real truth comes from unconditional love.
When you honor yourself and your truth, you also develop certainty in your own magnificence.
Learn to make yourself a priority and commit to taking actions from a self-honoring, self-loving place.
Join Lisa Berry and Noemi Grace as they delve into how we can become more self-honoring, and Noemi shares powerful wisdom from Source. On the next Access to Angels and Grace, Mon May 10 @ 12 ET.

Sarah Peyton – Releasing Unconscious Contracts: Changing Your Inner Chaos to Self- Calm and Loving Kindness
Aired Friday, May 7, 2021 at 4:00 PM PST / 7:00 PM EST
This week we welcome back one of The Autoimmune Hour community’s favorite guests Sarah Peyton. Sarah is committed to helping us all make our brains a kinder place to live – I love that!
In this episode, Sharon chats with Sarah about her latest book, “Your Resonant Self Workbook: From Self-sabotage to Self-care.” She will share with us tips, techniques, and best practices based on neuroscience to create the resources we need to develop inner calm, self-love, and kindness.
Sarah also shares, “When we experience trauma or need to find a way to protect ourselves from interpersonal hurt, we make unconscious contracts with ourselves, such as: ‘I will never let myself get treated that way again’ or ‘I will never forgive myself for that.'” These contracts often result in harmful behaviors like self-criticism, lack of trust, and procrastination.” And sometimes can manifest as a physical response in our body plus…
• Ways to recognize and free ourselves from these damaging contracts
• Discover resonant language, affirmations, and meditations,
• Fundamental strategies for uncovering and rewriting our unconscious contracts.
• Several tools to create kindness, warmth, and curiosity and create opportunities for self-healing and more…
More about our guest:
Sarah Peyton, author constellations facilitator, Certified Nonviolent Communication Trainer, and neuroscience educator, integrates constellations, brain science, and the use of resonant language to heal trauma with exquisite and warm gentleness. She teaches and lectures internationally and is the author of the book “Your Resonant Self: Guided Meditations and Exercises to Engage Your Brain’s Capacity for Healing.” Her second book, “The Your Resonant Self Workbook,” on the relational neuroscience of the unconscious contracts is available May 25, 2021. Diane Millis – Re-Creating A Live
Aired Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST
“If you light a lamp for someone else, it will also brighten your own path.” These words have been attributed to Buddha, but the actual source is unknown. The truth in the statement is self-evident. May this same wisdom be applied to the words we share with others. Is the act of sharing our most life-giving stories with others not only illuminating for them, but also for us?
My guest this week on Vox Novus, Diane Millis, says that there is power in sharing our most life-giving stories. Diane holds a B.A. and M.A. in Communication Studies and a Ph.D. in Family Studies from the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota. Since completing her doctorate, she has studied theology and trained in spiritual direction, retreat direction, and the practice of interfaith dialogue. Diane has taught at a number of schools including the University of Minnesota, College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University, and Saint Catherine University. She currently teaches at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities.
She is the founder of Companions on a Journey at the College of Saint Benedict, funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc., and the Journey Conversations Project. She served as host and producer of Lives Explored for the Collegeville Institute. Diane has also served as a coach and consultant for the Lilly Endowment, Inc., working with leadership teams at colleges, universities, and theological schools throughout the United States. Her website is https://www.dianemillis.com/ and she joins me this week to share her path and her book, Re-Creating A Live: Learning How to Tell Our Most Life-Giving Story.

Opening to Grief: Finding Your Way from Loss to Peace with Claire B. Willis
Aired Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 4:00 PM PST / 7:00 PM EST
Over the past year, the pandemic has robbed every single one of us of something… If not a loved one or our livelihood it’s our familiar daily routine, our freedom of movement, or our way of working, playing, communicating, connecting, and moving through the world. Many are feeling a mix of emotions – anxiety, despair, sadness, and anger. While we might not recognize all of these feelings as grief, we are grieving. This is how human beings respond to loss. And our losses are far from over.
According to this week’s guest, grieving is one of the most difficult experiences we will ever face. Grief’s terrain is unspeakably painful. There are no easy answers and there’s no one way to grieve. Your grief is yours alone. But the good news is, whatever you are grieving, you will find your way…
CLAIRE B. WILLIS is a clinical social worker who has worked in the fields of oncology and bereavement for more than 20 years. A cofounder of the Boston non-profit Facing Cancer Together, she has led bereavement, end-of-life, support, and therapeutic writing groups, and has co-taught spiritual resources for healing the mind, body, and soul at Andover Newton Theological School. The author of Lasting Words: A Guide to Finding Meaning Toward the Close of Life, & co-author of Opening to Grief: Finding Your Way from Loss to Peace with Marnie Crawford Samuelson, Claire Willis joins Sandie to share how we can navigate and embrace our emotions and experiences, however they arise, and follow our own path to healing.

Our topic today is: health issues. Do all health issues manifest in this lifetime? Why can doctors diagnose some ailments, but not others? What part does cellular memory play in our health? Can we pick up another person’s illness from being too empathic with him/her? Or can we pick up a sick person’s energy and then have that energy transferred onto us? Does Karmic have a role in our health? Susan shall answer these questions and more.

Adolescence is a unique and formative time in life as well as a crucial period for developing and maintaining social and emotional habits important for mental well-being. The challenges of being a teenager and raising a teenager are well known. But thanks to Covid 19, those challenges have greatly escalated over the past year. With depression, anxiety, suicide, addictions, and other mental health issues rapidly escalating in children, it’s time to take a look at what we, as parents and caregivers, can do to support and guide our teens and tweens through this difficult time.
Lara Honos-Webb, PhD is a Practicing Clinical Psychologist licensed in California. A family therapist who works with teenagers, she is the author of several books on Attention Deficit Disorder, and is known for her distinctive reframing of mental illnesses that are commonly conceived as detrimental into gifts that offer exceptional strengths.
Dr. Honos-Webb joins Rebecca and Sandie this week to explain how the emerging knowledge of adolescent neural development and the tools shared in her new book, Six Super Skills for Executive Functioning, can help teens learn how to develop their self-confidence, regulate their emotions and mood, improve their focus, enhance their motivation, and bring them the hope, optimism, and skills that lead to immediate relief and improvement, as well as lasting growth to serve a lifetime.

Sister Jenna – America Meditating
Aired Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST
This coming Sunday is Mother’s Day. For me, my brother and sister, and for countless others, it will be bittersweet, having lost our mothers in 2020 and 2021. It will also be a time to reflect on how our mothers shaped our lives, the lessons they taught us and the examples they set. There are also millions who are caring for elderly and infirmed mothers and fathers, returning the love they received as children. This year, an estimated 6.2 million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s Dementia. The changes in their habits and communications can make celebrating Mother’s Day with them a great challenge to their children.
My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Spiritual Leader and renowned speaker Sister Jenna, credits her mother with Alzheimer’s to be her main spiritual influence and accepts her as who she is and respects all her differences and changes. The founder of Brahma Kumaris Meditation Museum I & II, Sister Jenna is a practitioner of Raja Yoga meditation. Sister Jenna is the recipient of numerous awards and proclamations including the President’s Lifetime National Community Service Award, Everyday Hero Award by the Foundation for Better Life, and the Friendship Archway Awards. Her syndicated radio show, America Meditating, is a conscious and humanitarian radio show that engages conversations that provide listeners with inspiring ways to master the challenges we encounter on the journey of life. Her websites are https://www.americameditating.org/ and https://www.meditationmuseum.org/ and she joins me this week to share her path.

Cuddle Up with the ‘Stuff You Wish You Didn’t Feel’
Air Date: Wednesday, 5 May 2021 at 5:00 PM ET/2:00 PM PT
This week’s topic is, Cuddle Up with the ‘Stuff You Wish You Didn’t Feel’
Jealousy, resentment, contempt, disapproval … what in the heck do we do with all these undesirable feelings and thoughts when we’re trying to be a warmhearted and open person?
When we shy away from the traits and qualities that seem unloving or in some way unacceptable or selfish, it’s the same as telling ourselves, “We’re not lovable”.
Most of us know that if we are to truly embrace what it means to ‘be human’ then we must celebrate the WHOLE of who we are – loving the Self is at the hub of loving ALL of the diverse slices of life.
Beyond that, when we can’t BE with these unwanted parts of the Self, we’re limiting access to our natural born talents, our unique expression in the world and ultimately, our sense of peace and personal fulfillment.
This week we’re going to blow this idea of unbearable inner feelings and experiences wide open by pinpointing how they came to be placed on the ‘blacklist’ of the Self to begin with. Sam will help you peel the layers back, one by one, in the hopes that you’ll uncover a previously unseen connection with one of these insufferable aspects of the Self.
This is a sweet opportunity to take a closer look at your how you learn to value YOU and stop depriving yourself of the abundance that can come from empowering more of these unwelcome feelings.
It’ll be a thought-provoking, inspiring hour for sure. And Sam invites you to CALL IN and CHAT LIVE and share your thoughts on the ‘STUFF you WISH you DIDN’T FEEL’, to further the conversation.
Go to samparrotto.com to submit your questions for this week’s conversation.
You won’t want to miss being an ‘ON AIR’ participant of Expedition Self. Sam will provide real insight, understanding and offer an opportunity to connect a new way of thinking to YOUR way of thinking.
Each week Sam discusses a different and highly accessible slice of building a stronger, deeper relationship with the inner Self so that YOU have the tools to become more and more whole.
