Steven Halpern – Cannabis Dreams: Tuning Fork for the Brain
Aired Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM PST / 2:00 PM EST / 7:00 PM GMT / 8:00 PM CET
For centuries and across cultures, sacred ceremonies using plant medicine were vital to collective well-being. These long-revered healing plants, ayahuasca, peyote, cannabis, and mushrooms nourished individuals and were crucial for collective well-being. Yet, these long-revered healing instruments have been largely forgotten by today’s society. Why? What might we be missing? And what role do music and plants play in nurturing and uplifting body, mind, and spiritual well-being? Music is a tuning fork for the brain. Can the frequencies and harmonics in plants inspire healing? Can music help us “get high” and feel good? What role does sound play in building peaceful communities?
Join voice-visionary Kara Johnstad, and GRAMMY® nominated composer, recording artist, and researcher Steven Halpern in an in-depth conversation on sound consciousness and his new album release, Cannabis Dreams. In 2021, with legalization in many states and with the medical benefits of cannabis more widely accepted – Halpern’s co-composed masterpiece is released, and we celebrate. Learn through plant medicine and music to reprogram unconscious patterns that no longer serve us. Explore the principle of consciousness and change. Co-create a sound world.

How to Thrive Through Life’s Storms
Aired Monday, June 28, 2021 at 9:00 AM PST / 12:00 PM EST
A woman stopped to pick up a lifeless limb that broke off a beautiful tree in a powerful storm. She observed how the tree was still strong and healthy after it had lost that branch.
Then it struck her that people who are resilient through life’s traumas are like that tree. It weathered many storms, shed its broken limbs, yet remained unbroken and continued to grow and blossom.
In her heart, she hoped she could become like that tree. She too had weathered many of life’s storms. And some relationships and things that were important to her did not survive the storms.
Yet she survived, and through each loss, she had grown. She was beginning to trust that she would know when to bend with the storm and when to allow things to break apart.
She sensed that she would know what parts of her life to nurture and what to release when the storms showed up.
She could see herself becoming more resilient, powerful, and beautiful, like that majestic tree.
Lisa Berry and Noemi Grace invite you to join them on the next Access to Angels and Grace on OmTimes Radio on Monday June 28 @ 12 ET, as they share powerful strategies for thriving through life’s storms, and Noemi channels Divine wisdom to help us learn and grow through each passing storm.

The Making Of A Publishing Legend with Judy Piatkus
Aired Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 4:00 PM PST / 7:00 PM EST
There’s a piece of advice that’s often shared today, particularly in the new thought/awakening conscious arena, which is “follow your passion, believe in yourself, and the success and the money will follow.” If there were a competition for a poster child for that approach to life and living, there’s little doubt that Judy Piatkus would rank highly among the contestants.
Judy Piatkus is a publishing legend. In 1979, she founded what would become a global publishing brand— Piatkus Books —from her spare bedroom. A single-mother with a child with learning disabilities at a time when being a self-made woman entrepreneur was rare, Judy defied expectations, influencing, shaping, and giving rise to the cultural and professional perception of personal growth and development publishing. Long before the bestseller charts were packed with mind/body/spirit, business, and relationship books, Judy created a platform for new voices and leading authorities and experts in their fields, including internationally bestselling authors Jon Kabat-Zinn, Mary Berry, David Allen and Brian L. Weiss.
Judy Piatkus joins Sandie this week to talk about her memoir, Ahead of Her Time – How a One-Woman Startup Became a Global Publishing Brand, which provides fascinating insights into building a company and brand identity, her learning experiences as an entrepreneur, the triumps and pitfalls, what worked and what didn’t, how it felt to overcome obstacles to build the career she wanted from the ground up, as a truly self-made woman… and much more.
Judy Piatkus is an entrepreneur, publisher and business coach specialising in conscious leadership. She founded Piatkus Books when she was in her 20s and grew the company to become an international brand, before selling it in 2007, just before the global financial crash that she had shrewdly foreseen. She is now a keynote speaker and a coach and mentor to start-ups. In 2011 she founded Conscious Cafe, a network that brings people together for conscious connection and discussion.
