We’re going to talk about VICTIM CONSCIOUSNESS this week on Expedition Self.

We human beings ARE vulnerable, it’s true. But when we begin to relate to life and our relationships as though something is being done TO us, it causes us to lose touch and forget the true nature of our power. This is incredibly important because without that, then our lives are mired down by being in a continual drama and collection of stories to reinforce our ‘victim story’.

This week, Sam will share her own journey to understanding this ‘very-human’ way of seeing the world with the hope that you will find these same pockets of ‘powerlessness’ in your life. Although powerlessness is a huge feeling associated with this state of relating, it’s much more challenging to identify because it attaches itself to your everyday belief systems. And these have been reinforced over and over, likely starting in childhood.

We’ll also explore exactly why this ‘VICTIM CONSCIOUSNESS’ exists to begin with. What we learn from it, what gives rise to it, how we use it to bypass our inner experience, and what it’s costing us in the embodiment of our own life and participating as a fellow villager caring for today and the future.

Roles People Live – The Narcissist

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Narcissist. The Narcissist has fallen in love with themselves and wants others to do so as well. Even if that means others must love themselves less. They have an intense sense of self-importance that diminishes those who surround them. Their needs are of the utmost importance and must be met before those of others can be considered. People only exist to meet their needs. They greatly confuse wants with needs, viewing them as being the same. Furthermore, they have great difficulty recognizing any weaknesses within themselves, only noticing their strengths. They are likely to disown those persons who would seek to point out any of their weaknesses to them.

During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of higher ego power on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Narcissist. I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Narcissist is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their higher ego power energy and their mind. Many of them, the Narcissist is unaware of, but still exerting a powerful negative impact on their life and unfortunately others. I’ll also be looking at what their ego energy is doing to block the Narcissist from hearing the voice of spirit which is rooted in their Divinity. An inability to recognize the Love, Life, and Energy—God Is, within their being, due to the great distance being created by their ego energy. When the Narcissist is able to “hear” the mistruths contained within ego’s voice and the truths in spirit’s voice, the door to transformation can open, and the days of living in the role of Narcissist can be ended.
