In 1920, author and poet Hugh Lofting penned the children’s classic, “Dr. Doolittle.” Dr. Doolittle had the ability to converse with animals, and much of what they shared with him was both charming and profound. Are there really people who have the ability to communicate with animals? Is it possible for all of us to converse with our beloved animal companions?

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Julie Ulrich, is an animal communicator and healer who rediscovered her abilities when a chronic illness led her to Reiki Healing. Encanto

This week on Expedition Self, we’re going to talk about the themes and messages of Disney’s animated movie, Encanto.

Art, literature, movies, and music help us to see and feel REAL LIFE more clearly. In fact, you could say they enable us to actually claim more in our lives. By showcasing the relationships and experiences inside of other characters, settings, and story arcs, we find ourselves, our unspoken emotions, and personal validation and understanding that might otherwise be unnamed.

Encanto is one of those movies you just can’t watch without discovering and identifying some aspect of you, your family, and your sense of Self. We’re all seeking some special gift, one that gives us the magic to create amazing lives and causes us to feel essential and important.

She believes that creating an altar is a personal and sacred act between you and spirit.

When you decide to create an altar it is important for you to set an intention for the altar.

To locate a sacred space for it. And to identify what type of items you are going to use to create your sacred altar.

There are no limitations in creating an altar. The most important thing that you must remember is that setting your intention for your altar and selecting a sacred space where you will be able to meditate or pray in the space without being disturbed. You can get very creative with your items as you set your intentions. She will also discuss the types of elements that you can add to your altar if you so desire to increase the energy of the altar.
