Falling For The Stars: A Stunt Gal’s Tattle Tales

Falling For The Stars: A Stunt Gal’s Tattle Tales

December 11, 2016

Aired Sunday, 11 December 2016, 10:00 PM ET

Lisa Loving Dalton spent years working with or stunt doubling for a galaxy of celebrity stars including Madonna, Meryl Streep, Robert Redford, Katherine Hepburn, Sean Connery, Dustin Hoffman, Darryl Hannah, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robin Williams, Robert Downey Jr., Liam Neeson, Cher and more… Yet, what stands out in her new book Falling For The Stars: A Stunt Gal’s Tattle Tales is the indomitable spirit she assayed, despite the extraordinary price she paid for her stellar career including misogyny, a miscarriage, and a life-long back injury. And each juicy story she relays in her fascinating chronicle, brings home an important life lesson for the reader—one that she learned the hard way.

Beginning as a naïve, insecure actress, trying to use extra work and stunts as a way into the motion picture industry firmament, Dalton rises to become one of the top stunt professionals on the East Coast, ultimately reaping the economic rewards and the ego gratification—while denying her true desire to act full time. Dalton appeared in more than 200 films, television shows and commercials in New York, Hollywood and Texas, including work in Ghostbusters, Money Pit, Crocodile Dundee, Married to the Mob, FX, Legal Eagles, and Splash on the big screen and ER, HBO’s Carnivale, Dr. Quinn and Melrose Place among her many TV credits.

Yet, Falling For The Stars—already an #1 bestseller– also provides a magical behind-thescenes look at the stars and moviemaking through the eyes of a woman who went toe-to-toe with the Hollywood elite, or at least walked in their stunt shoes. She knows first-hand the caring and humanity of such luminaries as Streep, Redford and Cher.

Dalton reveals what it took to hang over cliffs, get hit by a moving car, drop from five stories up, dodge a bridge full of speeding cars—and to ignore the Universe’s more gentle prompts that it was time to quit and follow her passion into acting fulltime or teaching acting. The resulting career-ending spinal injury has a story of its own, how she researched medical and alternative paths that form the heart of what she shares with the world today. She is now certified in NLP, Hypnosis, and Neurological Repatterning—ways she learned to heal.

With humor and candor, Dalton inspires the reader to rise above one’s fears and limitations and go for the gusto. In her book, it is very clear that she knows full well that tomorrow is promised to no one and there is no gift greater than the present. And the present is what you make of it by finding the hidden gifts. Today, she helps actors burnish their gifts by performing and teaching acting around the world.

From a bullied, dyslexic, messy, freckle-faced, klutzy pixie, Lisa Loving Dalton grew into a statuesque and skillful stuntwoman, actor, director, teacher, author, filmmaker, leadership and life coach, and ceremonial minister. Always seeking and finding the silver lining, she has made the most of whatever life threw at her. She says, “I spill stuff, trip and drip all of the time so I made a career out of it. My advice: Embrace what is as perfect.”

I: One M.D.’s Inward Journey to Liberate Himself from Mental Suffering – Dr. Jeffrey Fidel

Aired Sunday, 13 November 2016, 10:00 PM ET

Dr. Jeffery provides insight into his story and how he used the ancient teachings of Lao Tzu’s Tao Te Ching, to connect to a voice originating from his heart, the “voice within” that teaches our true identity is “beyond thought” and that we and the universe are I(One)…

Jeffrey relates how he spent most of his life identifying with the I that was the I in his mind-the one that said he must achieve to exist…the one that drove him to become a doctor in order to meet other people’s expectations despite a part of him that resisted; the one that said he would be happy if he lived the “American dream” of exalted professional, family man and financial success. This was the “I” of his ego.

Yet, he was miserable and the critical voices in his head kept getting louder, driving him to seek a psychiatrist. And when they reached a crescendo, Jeffrey was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 Disorder and placed on antipsychotic drugs.

Feeling numbed by his “chemical lobotomy” he continued to “fit into” society as an individual and practicing physician. Yet, nothing in his life was right-his marriage was falling apart, he still had an inner struggle that he didn’t want to practice medicine, and even his beloved dog died.

Through many ups and downs and searching, he came to the Tao Te Ching. It spoke to him and awakened his awareness that there was another voice, a quiet one that spoke truth to him, a voice that connected him to all that is. Then, he knew that he was not his Mind, he was his energetic essence, something unknowable and unlimited. When, though a year of deep solitude, he became convinced following this voice was the real path to a life of mental and emotional freedom, he tapered off his meds, quit his medical practice and focused on living the life directed by that inner voice.

Today, Jeffrey lives a contented, complete, humble and drug-free life in Florida-living in the present moment-and spreading the word for others who have been diagnosed as depressed, mentally ill or Bipolar that he has found another way to end mental suffering. As he tells his story, he is an inspiration to others that listening to the “one voice that counts” may provide a different path to peace and a new way to live.

Living Hope with Lynne Cockrum-Murphy

Living Hope with Lynne Cockrum-Murphy

September 11, 2016

Aired Sunday, 11 September 2016, 10:00 PM ET

The only reason she survived the house fire is her father carried her out first before running back in for her sisters where they all perished. Lynne Cockrum-Murphy was three years old and living in an idyllic family in Northern California. Raised by a mother whose life was shattered by the tragedy, Lynne’s childhood was jolted again when her step-father died in a logging accident a few years later and culminates in the murder of her mother years later. That could have been the end of any hope of happiness, but it wasn’t. Living Hope follows her life from those tragedies forward to today.

With a transcendent spirit that knew there must be something better ahead, she kept searching for answers and with much time, trial and error, wise teachers, communal support, deep research and reading, and personal introspection, she ultimately triumphed over her pain and suffering, finding the steps to a joyful, deeply fulfilling life that includes a loving partner and a calling to help others. It’s those steps she interweaves in Living Hope as she tells her own remarkable story that takes her from surviving to thriving.

Lynne’s common sense and compassion are evident throughout Living Hope, as she guides people with actions, steps, tools, even a reading and movie list to help them achieve the happiness and joy that changed her life. Hers is a model of hope, action and success that a joyful life is possible no matter how heartbreaking the past. The message in her book addresses the basic needs of the 8 million Americans who suffer from PTSD.

In her case, instead of giving in to family dysfunction, she moved beyond the events of the past and writes about dealing with trauma, loss, abuse, family alcoholism and shows there is a way to inner peace. Living Hope is critically acclaimed by experts, ministers, coaches and therapists. Rapid sales of the book show the deep need and the enthusiastic response from people looking for a way out of depression, fear and a sense of doom.

Sow What You Want to Reap: The Universal Law of Karma

Sow What You Want to Reap: The Universal Law of Karma

August 28, 2016

Aired Sunday, 28 August 2016, 10:00 PM ET

Ken and Darlene created around the non-religious concept, “What goes around, comes around.” They share what prompted them to come up with this unique website, social media and mobile app.

Sometimes it seems like the world is caught in an endless cycle of acrimony and retribution. From wars and terrorist attacks to petty slights and insults that explode into full-blown disputes and destroy relationships, bad behavior seems to reign. Yet you don’t have to look far to find people who practice kindness and intentionally work to sow peace, friendship and goodwill.

That’s the intention of Darlene and Ken Tipton, aka “Karma Dar” and “Karma Ken.” The California couple created around the simple non-religious concept of “What goes around, comes around.” Marketing surveys show that over 180 million Americans believe in this Karma concept. 67% of women, 46% of men, and 73% of the LGBT community are true believers. acknowledges acts of kindness, courtesy, and honesty, through the giving of Green Karma Cards. It exposes acts of unkindness, discourtesy, and dishonesty, through the giving of Red Karma Cards. Even though the two types of Karma Cards are given for different reasons, BOTH types of Karma Cards are treated the same way when they are registered in your free account.

When a Karma Card is registered, it generates a positive Karma Point for that person and ALSO for EVERY person who registered the same Karma Card in the past. When someone receives and registers a Red Karma Card, it is assumed the person has “owned their actions” and taken personal responsibility for their bad behavior. If they haven’t, then Karma WILL pay them a visit.

Spiritual Telepathy with Colleen Mauro

Spiritual Telepathy with Colleen Mauro

May 22, 2016

Aired Sunday, 22 May 2016, 10:00 PM ET

Colleen Mauro founded Intuition Magazine to introduce readers to the emerging field of intuition development. In her new book, she provides mind-training techniques designed to help readers access the wisdom and guidance of their own souls—and through the soul, to the divine or universal mind. This more advanced form of intuitive perception is called spiritual telepathy. The techniques she introduces come from a body of knowledge called the Ageless Wisdom. Also called the esoteric or mystery teachings, this wisdom was first put into book form by the Hindu sage Patanjali in his classic book, The Yoga Sutras. For her book, Colleen draws on a variety of cultures and spiritual traditions, both ancient and modern, and explains how the new science validates these ancient teachings. She shares her own experiences and introduces readers to others who have also used these practices.

Topics for Discussion

The Three Types of Telepathy

In experiments dating back to the nineteenth century, scientists have validated two types of telepathy: instinctual, or feeling-based, telepathy and mental, or mind-to-mind, telepathy. The Wisdom teachings tell us that there is another, higher type of telepathy called soul-to-soul, or spiritual telepathy.

Spiritual telepathy is the higher correspondence to our personal intuition. Our personal intuition provides guidance about our day-to-day lives. The soul knows our higher purpose; it is our divine partner, our highest and most reliable source of direction and guidance.

Creative Meditation

We make contact the soul through the daily practice of creative meditation. Many meditation practices focus only on quieting the mind. In this type of meditation, we go a step further and actively train our minds to transmit information from the soul to the brain. In the same way that our homes are wired for telephone and internet connection, creative meditation allows us to create the threads and cables that will link us to the higher worlds.

Our Evolutionary Step

When we make contact with the soul, we take our first steps into the subtle worlds and cross the boundary from human to superhuman development. Those of us who take this step are the pioneers who will lead the way from one stage of our species evolution to the next.

Refinement Practices

To create a direct line of communication between the soul and the brain, we need to purify our bodies and quiet our minds and emotions. Illness, fatigue and mental or emotional static make it hard for our brains to register higher wisdom and ideas. Refinement practices are a part of all our spiritual traditions. Although the methods vary from tradition to tradition, the requirements and goals are the same: purity of body, control of the emotions, and stability of mind. The book includes a variety of easy to use refinement practices.

The Everyday Genius

The wisdom teachings tell us that the soul is the portal or gateway to the higher worlds. When we make contact with the soul, we have access to the universal or divine mind, the storehouse of all wisdom and knowledge. Our most celebrated creative thinkers—those people we call geniuses or visionaries—have all had the ability to access the higher worlds. Colleen’s research shows us that genius is not a rare and random event but an experience each of us can cultivate.

Meditations and Practices

The book contains several practices and twelve meditations, including three progressive meditations to link the mind and soul.

Abbot George Burke (Swami Nirmalananda Giri) is the founder and director of the Light of the Spirit Monastery (Atma Jyoti Ashram) in Cedar Crest, NM, USA.

In his many pilgrimages to India, he had the opportunity of meeting some of India’s greatest spiritual figures, including Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh and Anandamayi Ma. During his first trip to India he was given sannyas by Swami Vidyananda Giri, a direct disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda, who had himself been given sannyas by the Shankaracharya of Puri, Jagadguru Bharat Krishna Tirtha.

In the United States he also encountered various Christian saints, including Saint John Maximovich of San Francisco and Saint Philaret Voznesensky of New York. He was ordained in the Liberal Catholic Church International to the priesthood on January 25, 1974, and consecrated a bishop on August 23, 1975.

For many years, Abbot George has been engaged in deep study of the spiritual unity (actual identity) of Jesus Christ and his teachings with India and Sanatana Dharma. It is his conviction that original Christianity (not contemporary “Churchianity”) and original Yoga are not just compatible, they are essentially one; that Jesus lived in India for most of his life, being a Sanatana Dharma missionary to the West, and that after his resurrection he returned to India and lived the rest of his life in the Himalayas.

He has written extensively on these and other topics, many of which are posted at His published books include Om Yoga Meditation: Its Theory and PracticeThe Gospel of Thomas for AwakeningThe Dhammapada for Awakening, and May a Christian Believe in Reincarnation?, all available in print and ebook format from
