The Borders of Normal with Dr. Manuel “Manny” Matas
Manny Matas, MD, has been clinical psychiatrist for forty years. For most of his professional career, he worked in university teaching hospitals. Dr. Matas is the author of The Borders of Normal: A Clinical Psychiatrist De Stigmatizes Paranormal Phenomena. His book deals with the field of study known as meta-psychiatry (literally: “beyond psychiatry”). Meta-psychiatry represents the confluence of psychiatry with spirituality and metaphysics, which is the philosophy of being and knowing.
Throughout his life, Dr. Matas has had a number of experiences which could be considered anomalous or paranormal. It is his hope that by sharing his knowledge and experience in both psychiatry and the world of the unknown, he will provide a bridge between these two worlds and will give people permission to share their own experiences without shame or embarrassment.

Unity Earth Festival Focuses On Culture, Youth and Regeneration of the Earth
An Interview with Adam Collett, Project Manager of Unity Earth Lift Off
“We are all one with the same One, each of us totally unique just like everybody else.” — Swami Beyondananda
It’s fitting that in 2019, fifty years after Woodstock a new festival has emerged to bring together the “imaginal cells” of a new generation, at a time when humankind (without the “kindness”) sits atop the endangered — and endangering species list.
And this time — unlike Woodstock — there is a worldwide movement, an “upwising” if you will, seeking to bring together awakening youth and indigenous people to bring unity out of diversity. Instead of focusing on the “identity” issues that tend to keep us separate, this festival focused on working together around the IDENTICAL ISSUES that unite us — clean air, clean water, clean food, and clean government.
The actual event, Unity Earth Lift Off is being billed as a “multigenerational, intercultural, interactive concert in celebration of UN World Interfaith Harmony Week” and will be held on February 2, 2019 at the United Palace in New York City.
How fitting that organizers have picked Ground Hog Day, which in our turbulent times we have renamed Man Hog Day… if we fail to see our own shadow, two more years of darkness.
Seriously and humorously, our guest this week is Adam Collett, an Australian native who is the project manager for Unity Earth Lift Off, and who shares a compelling and much-needed vision to unite indigenous elders and the young people who will inherit this world to create a “movement of movements” to unify and mobilize those who are ready for a partnership (as opposed to a dominator) civilization.
Adam is an event producer, cultural liaison and social impact designer from Byron Bay, Australia. Inspired by his mother’s stories from the 1969 Woodstock Festival, Adam has been on a lifelong pursuit to inspire change through transformative events and community initiatives that have the power to deliver tangible outcomes on a local and global scale. Working closely with First Nations elders, global youth leaders, and earth regenerators, Adam is dedicated to combining innovative models and technologies with a deep respect for the culture of local people and places. He is the Project Manager for the UNITY EARTH LIFT OFF on February 2nd, 2019 in New York City.
If you live near New York City, go to the event live. Otherwise, join us for a lively discussion on how this celebration might actually “move the dial” for worldwide change for the better, this Tuesday, January 8th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/

What to Expect in 2019 for All the Signs of the Zodiac
Join Kelli Fox, the host and Astrologer of The Astrology Show to find out what’s in store for your sign in 2019 and beyond.
The year starts out with action planet Mars in its own sign of Aries so 2019 gets off to a flying start. On January 5th there’s a Solar Eclipse in ambitious Capricorn which is great energy for making long-term plans, thinking strategically and putting ambitions into play. Then on January 25th there’s an intense Lunar Eclipse in the royal sign of Leo. This means we need to keep our egos in check and help those in need.
For most of January and all of February there will be no planets in retrograde motion. This will provide all of us a reprieve to plan our future and move forward without too many obstacles and limitations.
In July, we have two more eclipses. The first is a Solar Eclipse in moody Cancer. Many of us may find ourselves focused on family matters and issues around the home. On July 16th we have another intense Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn. Manifestations that were set in motion at the beginning of the year may finally start to materialize.
In 2019 we have three dreaded Mercury retrogrades. The first in March then July and finally in November. These are times when we need to take caution with communication, travel plans and purchasing electronic equipment. These periods are good for reviewing, renewing and recycling.
In December, expansive Jupiter moves into goal seeking Capricorn where it will stay through 2020. This is a time when many of us will feel motivated and optimistic about our professional endeavors.
Tune in on Monday at 6pm PT/9pm ET to find out more…
