Maria Fadiman – Coming Out On The Other Side of Your Autoimmune Reactions
Aired Friday, 19 April 2019, 7:00 PM ET
In this fascinating, raw, and real chat, we explore the absurdity of ‘all-of-this’ along with what to do with the all too common statement “It’s all in your head” with mycotoxins autoimmune thriver, National Geographic explorer and FAU professor, Maria Fadiman.
Maria Fadiman works to make a difference in the world (really, the whole world) and embraces the challenges that come with the explorer kind of life. She is the creator of a compelling and funny one-woman show about discovering her autoimmune disorder, dealing with it, and getting back to being a “badass international explorer” even with an autoimmune condition. Just some of what she shares with us is:
• The freedom when you discover ‘It’s a crazy reaction, AND I’m not crazy…’
• How to find the humor and uncover happiness within your diagnosis,
• Why it is essential to have someone who “helps you think it out…”
• The mindset tips that keep this international explorer continuing her adventures, plus so much more.
Our guest Maria Fadiman is an associate professor in the Geosciences at Florida Atlantic University and a National Geographic Emerging Explorer. She researches the human/environmental aspect of conservation, focusing on ethnobotany, the study of the relationship between people and plants, and has given two TEDx talks. In addition to her academic publications, she writes adventure essays and is one of the invited contributors to the book, Global Chorus, along with others such as the Dalai Lama and Jane Goodall.
Listen to this revealing episode first, Friday, April 19th at 7 PM ET at www.UnderstandingAutoimmune.com/Maria and later in podcast and video.

Love, Sex, Money and Personal Power – Messages From Spirit On Living and Awakening with Lee Harris
Aired Thursday, 18 April 2019, 7:00 PM ET
Love, sex, money, and personal power – for many on a spiritual path, navigating life on earth, with its unavoidable mundane requirements, and reconciling our earthly physical and emotional needs, drives, behaviors, and desires with the aspiration to live a more conscious “awakened” life can be the cause of much internal conflict. In a world that appears to be devolving at a breathtaking rate and knee-jerk reactions based in fear, defensiveness, and judgment are becoming increasingly rife, how do we balance the practical preoccupations and concerns we all face as humans with living, loving and responding from the heart and soul of our higher awareness? How can we learn to live more fully and authentically as our “true” self?
In his new book Energy Speaks, intuitive medium, transformational leader, musician, and visual artist, Lee Harris distills the wisdom of a group of non-physical entities, collectively known as “the Zs,” into a concise and eminently practical guide for conscious living. With easy exercises and practical tools for breaking free of limitations, Energy Speaks offers a clear blueprint for transforming your life.
Join Sandie and Lee Harris as they discuss:
• Fear, judgment, and forgiveness – making sense of our inconsistencies, healing our hypocrisies, and balancing the human and the divine
• Boundaries – giving and receiving, drawing healthy lines
• Self-expression, purpose, family, and emotional well-being – how and why everything we experience, emotionally, spiritually, and physically, has a role and place in creation
• Love, sex, money, and personal power… and much more…
Lee Harris is the author of Energy Speaks: Messages from Spirit on Living, Loving, and Awakening. He is also an intuitive medium, transformational leader, musician, and visual artist. In 2004, he began holding channeling sessions and readings in his home, and today he leads workshops throughout the world. A native of England, he is now based in California.
