But … no.

People continue to believe what they want to believe, and take shelter in preferred realities regardless of what is happening in “real” reality.

At a time when the veils are being lifted on toxic perpetrations, some of which challenge our most fundamental beliefs about what is real, what do we do? At a time when folks on one side believe EVERYTHING is a conspiracy, and folks on the other believe that NOTHING is, how do we find a story that will help us move ahead together?



Our guest this week, Daniel Pinchbeck is the author of a new book, Conspiranoia: The Betrayed States of America, where he shines a light down the rabbit hole to help us find a likelier (if not lovelier) story, and seeks to balance conspiracy theory with con’s piracy fact. That is, he is willing to look at the exploitative practices and relationships behind our true malaise, and recognize many of these conspiracies as trance-like distractions.

Financial Planning In Between The Sheets

Today I’m having my sexy silver fox, and financial planner husband, Dan as my special guest. Usually we do a Pleasure and Bedroom & Bank episode, but I thought it might be fun to have him be a guest and me interview him, like I would my other guests.

He is also a one-time record holder of the most amount of stairs climbed at the Great Stair Climb at Telus Tower in our local hometown of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada- which just to put this in perspective is a 34-storey highrise office tower consisting of 716 stairs. He climbed this 47 times in 18 hours, meaning the he ascended and decended over 67,000 stairs. He also just happens to be a Certified Financial Planner, Registered Retirement Consultant, and Chartered Insurance Professional. Dan also has a Business Degree specializing in Marketing

Many years ago, I hated my Life. I thought it was unfair that I frequently experienced pain and suffering. I blamed others and then punished myself by hiding from opportunities to connect with them.

A few years ago, I gave up on myself and fell victim to the unhappy reflection I saw in the looking glass. I only saw the wound as a reminder of despair.

Dear Diary,

Last year, I started to question who I really was and what the wound could offer me. I started to ask the Universe whether I had any other choice than to suffer.

Dear Diary,

Last week, I saw that I always have a choice. And the first choice for me to make is to see that I am worthy of the power that resides in each choice I make.

Dear Diary…. No, Dear Me….,

Today I choose to see this wound and every wound differently. I see each wound as a portal that can either take me into deeper suffering or into freedom. Today I allow my self-love to be the key to lovingly give me access through each beautiful wound to the land of miracles!

Sylvia True – Where Madness Lies

Sundown on April 7th, 2021, marks the beginning of Holocaust Memorial Day, known in Hebrew as Yom HaShoa. It is observed as a day of commemoration for the approximately six million Jews and five million others who perished in the Holocaust as a result of the actions carried out by the Nazis. What many are not aware of is the Nazi slaughter of those with physical or mental disabilities in what they called the “T4” or “euthanasia” program, part of their maniacal attempt at racial purity.

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Sylvia True, has written a heartbreaking, compelling and revelatory novel, based upon her own family’s experience, that reflects the stigma associated with mental illness and the inherent danger in a culture that dehumanizes others. Sylvia True was born in England to parents who were refugees from Germany. She moved to the US when she was five. Growing up with parents from different cultures, a mother who was a Swiss champion figure skater, and a father who was a theoretical nuclear physicist gave her varied and unique perspectives.
