March is Women’s History Month, a time for us honor the feminine in all its aspects and in all aspects of life.

As the age of empire building, wealth accumulation and the regarding of everything as property comes to an end (and it is) a new/old model for human relationship comes to the fore.

“Women are life. Men are the protectors of life.” – Joseph Campbell

The earliest object of worship was the Goddess. She who gave and nourished life. From the very first emergence of the awareness of ourselves and the universe in which we lived, the great mystery of life and its flow has caused us to regard with awe and reverence the feminine.

The feminine and masculine represent two very different systems of value. The masculine is of the immediate, the functional, the practical, get it it done kind of vibe. So everything is regarded in its utility for that purpose.

The feminine is far more open, fluid, communal where everything is regarded, not by what function it serves but by what it is. The mother loves the child not for what it can do but simply because it is.

This regard for life by the giver of life is the truest and highest spirit of the Supreme Being. As such it is equally available to both genders but it is woman who is leading the way to a world where the Goddess is restored to Her rightful place as the source of all.

Dr. Mélanie Robinson is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor. She graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine where she was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award upon graduation. She completed her undergraduate degree in Bilingual Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta (Campus Saint-Jean).

Dr. Robinson is licensed through the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA) as well as being a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). Besides her Naturopathic Medical education, she also has additional training in Prolotherapy, IV therapy, and Chelation therapy.

Throughout her education, she has traveled to numerous countries. She volunteered in a medical brigade for Natural Doctors International (NDI) in Nicaragua where she participated in treating local patients and learned about international health care.

Dr. Robinson has a passion for the mind-body connection, and empowers her patients on reaching optimal health using gentle and evidence-based treatment. She believes in individualized treatment and will assist her patient’s health journey to overcome obstacles to healing.

She recently became a best selling co-author in the BluTalks Book series sharing her experience dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety.

Dr. Robinson enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, outdoor activities, and discovering new places. She is fluent in both French and English. She resides in Edmonton, Alberta.

Growing up in the 1950’s and 60’s, I was fortunate to be in what was dubbed “The Golden Age” of comic books. In 1965, while in junior high school, I had the opportunity to interview the editor of DC Comics and asked why comic book heroes were so popular. He said that there was what he called a hero vacuum at the time and fictional heroes addressed that need. What if things were reversed? What if a real-life person inspired a comic book hero? And what if this person were a wonderful, positive, and inspiring woman!

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Kadrolsha Ona Carole, is a real-life comic book hero, media star, actress, paranormal investigator, and a wonderful inspiration! Dubbed “The Queen of the Paranormal”®, Kadrolsha Ona Carole made comic book history by becoming the first person to be a comic book Superhero doing what she does in real life between the pages of a comic book.
