PMH Atwater – The Forever Angels: Near Death Experiences in Childhood and Their Lifelong Impact

Near Death Experiences (NDEs) are not a new phenomenon. Plato claimed that Socrates had had one, and so did Pliny the Elder. According to a report published a few years back, an estimated 200,000 Americans have reported experiencing an NDE, and numerous research studies have been conducted and published on this experience. To a large extent, most NDE’s we get to hear about are reported as positive, life-changing experiences. But, it transpires, the same claim can not necessarily be made when they are experienced by very young children.

Internationally respected researcher author PMH Atwater is a leading authority on Near Death Experiences, having dedicated the past four decades to researching, lecturing, compiling data, and interviewing over 5,000 adults and children. A three-time Near Death Experiencer herself, she is the author of 18 ground-breaking books on NDEs, spiritual experiences, transformations of consciousness, reality shifts, future memory and more. She has lectured twice at the United Nations , appeared on numerous top TV and radio show, and received prestigious awards for her research, which has been cited in The Lancet Medical Journal.

This week, she joins Sandie to discuss her most recent book, The Forever Angels: Near Death Experiences in Childhood and Their Lifelong Impact, which establishes that the after-effects of the NDE experience in the newly born, babies, toddlers and children up to the age of five has a far greater impact than anyone thought or has found before.

Fear is as central to BEING as breathing, and yet we experience it as overpowering and oppressive. Higher Ego Flexibility and Difficulty Dealing with Adversity

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely into the mirror of our ability to deal with the adversity that we are all confronted with owing to the imperfection of our humanity. These include the various failures, losses, and mistakes we are all called upon to manage, from time to time. Life success is often a function of how well we get up and learn from them after having been knocked down by them. During the show I’ll be looking at symptoms, reflections of ego stupidity, and the impact on spiritual wellness which occurs when a person is being affected by higher ego flexibility energy in their encounters with adversity. I’ll also be looking at specific ego insights needed to transform higher ego flexibility into a healthier and more balanced place.

Unfortunately, for those with higher ego flexibility they often take a very flexible approach in which they listen too much to others and too little to themselves, in their efforts to deal with problems. This places them at risk of listening to the wrong people, at the wrong times, who can be giving them bad information. Even if these people or resources (beware of the Internet) have good intentions and are trying to be helpful. This often serves to weaken their grasp of the causes that contributed to the difficulty and the solutions that can serve them best in managing it. Roles they may find their way into living, until they awaken to their ego energy, include the Adult Child and the Puppet.
