Susan Klopfstein – Historical Side of Jesus

What are the deadly sins that we are warned of in the Bible? Do these only apply to Christians or to all religions?

She also developed the crisis management campaign Toshiba used to overcome the “silent-submarine” scandal after a Toshiba subsidiary was caught illegally selling machines used for quieting submarine propellers to the Soviet Union in 1987. During her years at Toshiba, Susan managed an annual budget of $9.4 million and oversaw the advertising launch of 15 new products.

Susan’s name indicates that she can learn anything once the foundation has been taught to her. She likes her instructor to be nearby in order to immediately answer questions. Once Susan understands the foundation, she is no longer dependent on the teacher and wishes to kindly let the teacher know that services are no longer required. Susan’s name indicates that she does not care to be micromanaged in the least. Her name also indicates that she wishes to make the world a better place.

As the media continues to focus attention on the worst pandemic in living memory, there is an altogether different epidemic that has been steadily and relentlessly decimating more and more people’s lives over the last 50 years. Strangely, despite all the highly touted advances science, psychiatry, and the pharmaceutical industry have made in uncovering and treating the biological causes of mental and behavioral disorders this last half-century, the number of disabled mentally ill in the USA and other parts of the world has skyrocketed.

Which begs the question: if we have treatments that effectively address mental health disorders, as is claimed, why has mental illness around the world reached epidemic proportions, when logic says it should have diminished?

Robert Whitaker is an American journalist and author who has won numerous awards as a journalist covering medicine and science, including the George Polk Award for Medical Writing and a National Association for Science Writers’ Award for best magazine article.

In 1998, he co-wrote a series on psychiatric research for the Boston Globe that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. His first book, Mad in America: Bad Science, Bad Medicine, and the Enduring Mistreatment of the Mentally Ill, was named by Discover magazine as one of the best science books of 2002. Anatomy of an Epidemic: Magic Bullets, Psychiatric Drugs, and the Astonishing Rise of Mental Illness won the 2010 Investigative Reporters and Editors book award for best investigative journalism. Higher Ego Vulnerability and Difficulty Dealing with Adversity

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely into the mirror of our ability to deal with the adversity that we are all confronted with owing to the imperfection of our humanity. These include the various failures, losses, and mistakes we are all called upon to manage, from time to time. Life success is often a function of how well we get up and learn from them after having been knocked down by them. During the show I’ll be looking at symptoms, reflections of ego stupidity, and the impact on spiritual wellness which occurs when a person is being affected by higher ego vulnerability energy, in their encounters with adversity. I’ll also be looking at specific ego insights needed to transform higher ego vulnerability into a healthier and more balanced place.

Unfortunately, for those with higher ego vulnerability, they are often consumed by feelings of anxiety and fear when encountering failures, losses, and mistakes. This tends to magnify the size of the problem they are confronting, which can make it seem larger than it is. And shrink their perceived ability to manage it. Their attempts to understand and solve problems can become flooded with “emotional thinking” which gets in the way of their effectiveness. They can also be prone to anticipate failure, otherwise known as fear of failure. Leading them to avoid situations that can lead to failure, losses, or mistakes, even when the risk of these occurrences are minimal. Roles they often find their way into living, until they awaken to their ego energy, include the Perfectionist, the Overly Self-Critical Person, and the Stressed-Out Person.
