The Idea of Love

LOVE is not conditional. It’s present in each and every heart-touched crevasse, human interaction, and unpredictable moment of life.

But for most of us we see love through the lens of whether something feels loving or NOT. Because we connect with the events of life as if they either are or are not loving, and then react from that conclusion, it causes us to have a qualified and limited understanding of the deeper workings, at play.

This week, Sam will explore the idea that all of that which exists is LOVE. And by recognizing this intrinsic quality in all circumstances, it allows us to lean in and cause more consciousness, connection and relationship with all of life, all people we share the planet with, and the possibility for evolving together.

You’ll have an opportunity to see how defensiveness and self-protection are simply crusty wrappings used to avoid the making of contact with the possibility of love. Beyond that, we’ll sort out the difference between acting as if we are loving AND walking in life as LOVE which leads us to be more engaged and powerful, WARRIORS OF THE HEART.

Higher Ego Vulnerability and Difficulty Coping with Stressors and Stress

This week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely into the mirror of our ability to cope with stressors and stress, that are a part of each of our lives. These include the work, health, financial, marital, and familial stressors that contribute to the build-up of stress in us over time, and which we are called upon to manage so that they don’t get the better of us. Stressors that can manage us rather than our managing them when we are failing to manage them. Leading to chronic stress that can precipitate major health problems, including heart disease and cancer, the top two causes of premature death. During the show I’ll be looking at symptoms, reflections of ego stupidity, and the impact on spiritual wellness which occurs when a person is being affected by higher ego vulnerability energy in their encounters with stressors and stress. I’ll also be looking at specific ego insights needed to transform higher ego vulnerability into a healthier and more balanced place.

Unfortunately, for those with higher ego vulnerability they often respond to stressors by going into “fight or flight” mode. That is, they often experience more anxiety or anger than is necessary, and they remain in these emotions longer than necessary, even if the stressor has been dealt with. Compounding their difficulty, they can also become upset about their having become upset. Also, the flood of emotions often results in a lot of “emotional thinking” that is fitted with lots of distortions about the nature of the financial, health, work, relationship, etc. stressor and what to do about it. Often, going in the direction of over-reacting and even catastrophizing. Roles they may find their way into living, until they awaken to their ego energy, include the Stressed-Out Person, the High-Maintenance Partner, and the Overly Self-Critical Person.

After doing more than 150 interviews on Wiki Politiki over the past three-and-a-half years, I’m putting myself on the other side of the mike, thanks to my colleague and co-heart, Veronica Entwistle, host of Paradigm Shifters Radio. She did an interview with me last month for her show and with her kind permission we are re-running it on my show.

I must say that in the time since we launched Wiki Politiki in the fall of 2017, I have learned so much and been so inspired by the evolutionaries and solutionaries I featured, that I wanted to offer a “we are here” assessment of our – you know the word – shituation at this point.

I guess this will be our official announcement, but as of July Wiki Politiki will be evolving to a video format, The Wiki Politiki Zoom Room, that will allow for more interactivity and personal contact with our guests.
