Aired Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST

With extended longevity comes the opportunity for extended personal growth and spiritual development. How may “seniors” transition into “elders”, leave behind past roles, shift from work in the outer world to inner work with the soul, and find new purpose and authenticity?

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Connie Zweig, offers a radical reimagining of age for all generations. Connie Zweig, Ph.D., is a retired psychotherapist, former executive editor at J. P. Tarcher Publishing, former columnist, and author. Known as the “Shadow Expert”, her books include Meeting the Shadow and Romancing the Shadow. Carmel Niland – Our Spiritual DNA

Aired Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST

Many are familiar with the term “Ascended Masters,” as shared in 19th and 20th centuries by Theosophists and the New Age Movement. Is it possible that the characteristics of these mystical figures are shared with all of humanity in a form of Spiritual DNA? If so, how may we determine which of the Ascended Master’s Spiritual DNA did we incarnate with and ultimately, will this lead us to discover the Divine Essence in each of us?

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Carmel Niland, has extensively researched the lives of thousands of individuals across five thousand years, and saw the traits that allowed her to connect each of them to a specific Ascended Master. In do so, she has created a way for each of us to find our Divine connection! Carmel Niland is the former CEO and leader of various government agencies on gender, racial equality, human rights and child protection in New South Wales, Australia. She is the author of the best-selling novel, A Darker Magic This Way Comes. She lives in Sydney, Australia. Her website is https://www.ourspiritualdna.com/ and she joins me this week to share her groundbreaking new book, Our Spiritual DNA: Twelve Ascended Masters and the Evidence for Our Divine Ancestry.

Dr. Greg Hammer – GAIN Without Pain: The Happiness Handbook for Health Care Professionals

Aired Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST

One of the concepts stressed in the New Age movement and beyond was the power of positive thinking and intention setting. Can intention relieve chronic diseases, heal emotional wounds, prevent burnout and facilitate success? Is there scientific and medical evidence to support this.

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Dr. Greg Hammer, says that by setting intentions we have nothing to lose and everything to “GAIN.” Greg Hammer, MD, is a Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, pediatric intensive care physician, pediatric anesthesiologist, and mindfulness expert. He has been a visiting professor and lecturer on wellness at institutions worldwide and teaches his GAIN method to medical students, residents, and fellows at Stanford. He joins me this book to share his work and his book, GAIN Without Pain: The Happiness Handbook for Health Care Professionals (and everyone else)!

Randy Kritkausky – Indian Residential Schools

Aired Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST

On June 22nd, U.S. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, the first Native American to serve as a cabinet secretary, announced the federal government will investigate its past oversight of Native American boarding schools and work to “uncover the truth about the loss of human life and the lasting consequences” of policies that over the decades forced hundreds of thousands of children from their families and communities. The recent discovery of children’s remains buried at the site of what was once Canada’s largest Indigenous residential school has magnified interest in the troubling legacy both in Canada and the United States. How may this generational trauma be addressed? Is there room for collective healing and forgiveness?

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Randy Kritkausky, shares his personal quest to go beyond the media reports, find the truth, and work toward healing. Randy, author of the book Without Reservation: Awakening to Native American Spirituality and the Ways of Our Ancestors, is a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and his book detailed the powerful story of spiritual awakening, reconnection with Nature, and rekindling of ancestral wisdom. He joins me this week to discuss the truth of what happened at these “Indian Residential Schools,” the continuing trauma of indigenous peoples and how all of us may come together to heal these wounds.

In 1966, Paul Simon wrote a song called “Patterns” and the lyric intimated that we are all born with fixed “patterns” that we cannot change. Is this true? Are there ancestral patterns of emotions, beliefs and attitudes that are inherited, just like DNA?

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Judy Wilkins-Smith, says that we may learn to recognize these patterns and change the “dynamic”, leading to healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives. Judy Wilkins-Smith is a highly regarded organizational, individual, and family patterns expert, systemic coach, trainer, facilitator, thought partner, leadership conference and motivational speaker and founder of System Dynamics for Individuals & Organizations. Robert Allen – Self-Care: Let’s Start the Conversation

Aired Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST

Listeners to Vox Novus are conscious and compassionate people, often in the role of lovingly caring for others, family, and friends. Sometimes this comes at the cost of self-care and occasionally care-taker burn out. How may we start the conversation of self-care for caretakers?

My guest this week on Vox Novus, Mental Health Advocate Robert Allen, says self-care is crucial for health and many people do not actually understand what it is or how to use it. Robert Allen is a mental health professional, growth coach, and author with multiple advanced degrees in the areas of business, counseling, education, divinity, healthcare, and leadership. With more than 20 years of experience in both the public and private sector, Robert has served in various industries, from education, military, law enforcement, business, mental health, and ministry. He is the founder and CEO of New Dimensions Consulting Services, a company that specializes in helping businesses, entrepreneurs, and everyday people maximize their talents and leadership by engaging them through innovative mental health initiatives, trainings, and retreats.
