What do the planets have in store for you this week? There’s a New Moon in Sagittarius that awakens an inner need for many kinds of stimulation. Having recently completed a contemplative period, your body craves for some excitement now. You may find yourself daydreaming about travel to foreign lands, or maybe tackling a philosophical conundrum.

Boredom is an issue that has your fingers tapping restlessly. What are you to do about it? There are many ways to distract yourself. Maybe a road trip is in order. Or, how about a week in the wilderness? Maybe bungee jumping? Mull over the many possibilities available to you. Pick something that is not only physically active, but offers you a learning experience as well. Think of options outside of your normal routine, even if it means something as simple as taking a different route home from work.

Figure out how you can add a little spice in various areas to keep you from getting the doldrums. If physical limitations that keep you from ranging too far, look at ways to travel mentally. Workshops, seminars, and classes can usually do the trick. Books have a way of taking us away from ourselves.

Keep your brain satisfied and you won’t go wrong. If you crave more adventurous fare, remember to weigh the pros and cons before leaping into action. Check out the feasibility in detail. Aim for an activity that you can look back on with pride rather than embarrassment.

What do the planets have in store for you this week? We have a busy astrological week! The Sun shifts into Sagittarius on Monday where it will stay until December 21st.

Under the influence of the Sun in Sagittarius many of us may feel the urge to broaden our horizons. The daily grind could feel stifling, and some of us might long to break free from what’s become ordinary and routine. If we take the risk of stepping outside our comfort zone and encountering the unknown, we’ll be rewarded with fresh inspiration and a higher perspective on life.

Travel feeds our adventurous spirit. If we can’t leave the country, at least we could take a day trip to a neighboring town or any we have never visited. The wilderness might also call to us and a hike in the woods or a camping trip could be just what is needed to restore our vitality and reconnect with our inner truth. Intellectual travel will also be satisfying — through attending lectures, taking classes or simply talking with people who see the world very differently from ourselves. The important part is growth and expansion in some way.

We might find ourselves philosophizing about the meaning of life and taking a closer look at our beliefs and worldview. We might become more interested in religion and spirituality, and check out a new church, try a meditation practice, or go on a vision quest. Exploring a range of belief systems and different cultures can help us get a better sense of what we believe. Now is the time to attempt to synthesize our ideas and experiences in order to identify a guiding theme or story in your lives.

What do the planets have in store for you this week?

We have a Full Moon in Taurus on Monday. During this time you may see some monetary rewards for financial manoeuvres you made earlier. Having pledged to stick by your instincts, this could be a period of fulfilment, where you see the benefits of monetary strategies. Perhaps, additional unexpected benefits will be revealed. With extra cash flow in hand, you can afford to splurge a little on yourself.

You’re likely to be more “chill” with a Taurean moon, which can make you grounded and relaxed. In this blissful state, engage in life’s finer things. Go out with friends or your main squeeze to a fab restaurant of culinary repute. You’re not likely to pass on dessert – maybe you’ll have two of them! Even if people around you seem to be in a huff, you’re likely to stay centered and retain your cool.

On Saturday, Neptune turns direct after being retrograde since June 13th. Neptune is often called the planet of illusion, because it rules all things illusory — the intangible, the ethereal, the abstract and elusive. Dreams and fantasy fall within this planet’s realm, as do spirituality and idealism. It’s easier to understand Neptune if you think of it in terms of that which can’t be defined — things that are changeable, that not only have no discernible boundaries, but that you literally can’t put your finger on.

What do the planets have in store for you this week? There’s big shifts happening this week with three planets changing signs. Action planets Mars moves into Aquarius on Tuesday which means many of us may find ourselves asserting our independence and individuality. We may long to break free from other people’s expectations and want to experiment with expressing more of our authentic self, taking the risk of letting our eccentricities show. Some of us might hate being told what to do, and if we have any authority issues, they’re likely to appear now and could even get some of us into hot water.

On Friday, love planet Venus moves into Capricorn where it will be until December 7th. While Venus is in Capricorn, and depending on how this transit affects an individual’s natal chart, many of us may find ourselves taking a serious approach to relationships. We will have high standards in love, and are more interested in a long-term commitment than casual dating. Some may have a tendency to view relationships as investments, and want to spend time wisely, rather than wasting any energy on connections that won’t pay off in the long run. At worst, people might be accused of being cold and calculating.

On Saturday, messenger Mercury moves into free-wheeling Sagittarius. Many of us will choose to broaden our worldview and explore a variety of subjects. There’s an urge to tackle new ideas and perspectives, especially of a philosophical nature. Many of us will be asking ourselves life’s big questions, wondering, “what does it all mean?”

Also, nitpicky details, facts and figures are less interesting now, and decisions will be made based on intuition rather than logic or analysis.

It’s a fairly quiet week after lots of planetary action the past few weeks. The Full Moon in Aries at the end of the week brings a host of activity and action, particularly for the cardinal signs – Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.

During the Aries Full Moon, you may see some of your efforts beginning to pay off. You could receive recognition for your spirited, enthusiastic preliminary work on recent endeavors. Your leadership qualities may also be commended for rousing the troops in an effort. However, in your desire to be the head of the pack, you may run into resistance from others who believe in group consensus. You might need to be more of a team player. You can’t really run a show without the crew on your side, so you’ll have to balance your need to be the head honcho with a cooperative spirit. Try not to have any temper tantrums when you don’t get your way, or are challenged by dissenting views.

Your energy level can be quite high during this time. Romantic activities can be very passionate if you keep your lips and hands busy! You are likely to take decisive action. If you’re not getting satisfactory results, consider what you might need to cut out. Think about what you need to lose in the process of moving forward. As the moon begins to wane, you may need to let someone go who is no longer needed on a project, or maybe tossing out some excess weight that is keeping you down. A strong backbone is needed not only for expanding projects but also for trimming down.

How will this week’s planetary influences be affecting you? There’s a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on Friday 16th. This is the final eclipse for 2016. It follows a Solar Eclipse and another Lunar Eclipse this season.

During this time and a few months after the Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, you may begin to see evidence of profound change not only in yourself, but also among people who you’ve opened up to. Having made an effort to be more compassionate, you feel good about the way you’ve touched other people’s hearts.
