Wednesday May 20, 2015
Aired Wednesday, 20 May 2015, 12:00 PM ET
“The answers to life’s greatest questions are hidden from us, but they are not kept from us. However, only he who seeks shall find.” At some point in our lives, we have all looked up into the cosmos and asked ourselves why are we here? Being a Nasa Engineer has given David Gaggin an interesting perspective on this question. How would our lives change if we knew there was more to life than what our five senses can tell us. Join us for an inspiring conversation as we lift the veil on the material world and unravel the mysteries of life with David Gaggin.
About Guest David Gaggin
David Gaggin completed an ambitious five year dual degree program, earning a BS in Math from St Lawrence University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. He then went on to receive a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.
Subsequently Gaggin spent nine years as a senior executive with the US Army directing avionics and command and control R&D. During this period he also directed joint Army/NASA laboratories at Langley and Ames and was the US Army’s representative on the NATO Advisory Group for Aerospace R&D.
Taking advantage of his extensive training, he voraciously studied all the major religions and their origins. He read the ancient texts like the Books of the Dead, and The Kyballion. He read all the Vedic texts along with as many Puranas as he could easily locate. He studied the eastern and western philosophers from Pythagoras to Plato to Lao Tse to Emerson. As a trained engineer he studied all the sciences including quantum mechanics, relativity, cosmology, anthropology, and archeology. He explored the history of languages, along with the history of agriculture and domestic farming. He studied reincarnation, mystics, UFO’s. “I wanted to look at reality from every perspective I could think of,” he offers.
Eventually Gaggin’s extensive research began to coalesce into answers that made sense to his scientifically trained mind. He began to apply the principles of what he was learning to his own life. Inspired by the results and wanting to pass along his understandings, he compiled his learnings into his groundbreaking book The Endless Journey:A Unique Perspective on Mankind’s Origin, Purpose and Ultimate Destiny. The Metaphysics of the Bible with Steven Hairfield PhD
Wednesday May 06, 2015
Wednesday May 06, 2015
Aired Wednesday, 6 May 2015, 12:00 PM ET
Are all of the great religions trying to teach us the same truths? How does our personal experience and enculturation affect our beliefs? Steven Hairfield, PhD, the American Monk, has spent a good deal of his lifetime trying to find out these answers. Join us for a mind-expanding conversation on the myths and metaphors contained in ancient teachings and how they are all connected.
About Guest Steven Hairfield PhD
Having been raised in a very abusive environment, Steven decided to serve his country in the military. His duties and expertise led him to Vietnam. On a search for peace and higher understanding he was led to a Zen Buddhist Monastery in South Vietnam. There he became a Zen Priest through this experience. Steven's natural curiosity, blended with a very acute intuitive sense led him to deeper questions of life and the purpose of self. The monks began to insist that he should learn of Issa? Steven later learned that Issa, Jesus, had spent much time in what is now known today as India, Pakistan, Ladak, Nepal, and Tibet before returning to the Middle East. Was Jesus taught what He knew? This truly inspired his personal search for knowledge to somehow recreate the Master's 18 years not mentioned in the Bible. Pushed by this dream for Universal Truth, Steven traveled to India following an inner urge, which led him to his greatest teachers and lessons, Tibetan Masters. They guided him through India, Nepal, and twice into Tibet.
When Steven returned home after working with his Eastern teachers he wanted to understand the belief system and studied the greatest belief system of all -Religion and Theology, becoming quite interested and fascinated by the field of Metaphysics in the process. Through his years of studies with Zen and Tibetan Monks as well as the Cree and Blackfoot Native Traditions, this true American Monk offers an unparalleled approach to understanding how we directly influence our own experiences. Steven's journey was one of self-mastery, and empowerment while achieving an inner Divine nature. His book is entitled 'A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible' which is about the truth of who the Christ was and his very real message that he wanted us to realize! The messages of the Bible are metaphorical by their nature and these metaphors and messages are explained in great detail that we all may be as he was? Steven also has a new release about to come out entitled "Know What Tomorrow Brings" Karma the Twelve Principles. For more information visit: http://www.hairfield.com
