Dr. Susan Shumsky - Color Your Chakras

Wednesday Jul 27, 2016
Aired Wednesday, 27 July 2016, 8:00 PM ET
Remember coloring books when we were kids. They featured shapes and designs that were usually meant to teach us something. Artistic kids, with big boxes of 64 color Crayola Crayons could do some amazing artwork. They had an innate sense for color, texture and unlike kids like me, were able to keep the color within the lines. I was an over the line and outside the box kind of kid…and that worked out just fine for me.
Ever consider coloring now? What if you had a book that not only gave you the joy of coloring but also opened and expanded your concept of the subtle energy centers that make up all of us? My guest this week, Dr. Susan Shumsky, has created a book just like that for all of us!
Susan has dedicated her life to helping people take command of their lives in highly effective, powerful, positive ways. She is the best-selling author of 13 books. A pioneer in the human potential field, she has spent nearly 50 years teaching thousands of people meditation, prayer, affirmation, and intuition. For 22 years, her mentor was Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who was guru of the Beatles and guru of Deepak Chopra. She served on Maharishi’s personal staff for 7 years. Her book titles include Miracle Prayer, Divine Revelation, Exploring Meditation, Exploring Auras, Exploring Chakras, How to Hear the Voice of God, Ascension, Instant Healing, The Power of Auras, The Power of Chakras, Awaken Your Third Eye, Awaken Your Divine Intuition, and tonight will be discussing her latest, a coloring book for adults and children, entitled, Color Your Chakras, An Interactive Way to Understand the Energy Centers of the Body.

Lasara Firefox Allen - Jailbreaking the Goddess
Wednesday Jul 20, 2016
Wednesday Jul 20, 2016
Aired Wednesday, 20 July 2016, 8:00 PM ET
In her ground breaking 1976 book, When God Was a Woman, Merlin Stone evoked a memory of a time, before patriarchal religion, by saying… “For people raised and programmed on the patriarchal religions of today, religions that affect even the most secular aspects of our society, perhaps there remains a lingering, almost innate memory of sacred shrines and temples tended by priestesses who served in the religion of the original supreme deity. In the beginning, people prayed to the Creatress of Life, the Mistress of Heaven. At the very dawn of religion, God was a woman. Do you remember?”
In much of the world today, the concept of God as a Woman would at a minimum be considered heresy and in many cultures result in execution.
My guest this week, Lasara Firefox Allen, wants us to remember and move beyond mere remembrance. Her new book, Jailbreaking the Goddess, is a revolutionary and radical re-visioning of the feminine divine. A wild hearted change agent, Lasara delivers tools for transformation, provides strategies for embodiment, and creates vibrant spaces for personal and collective liberation. Lasara’s coaching and teaching work weaves together themes of empowerment, embodiment, body positivity, sexual liberation, feminism, and owning our whole selves.

Is there a way that all of us, people from every culture, nationality and faith, can return to understanding, compassion, real stewardship of this world we share and brotherly and sisterly love. Is there A Way to God?
My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Matthew Fox, says there is a way… through Creation Spirituality. He was expelled for teaching liberation theology and Creation Spirituality. He found what he calls “religious asylum” with the Episcopal Church.
