Living and Loving As An Evolutionary Family
Monday Apr 06, 2015
Monday Apr 06, 2015
Aired Monday, 6 April 2015, 7:00 PM ET
Timothy welcomes Cliff Ishigaki, Director of the Synthesis Center in Orange County, California. Cliff is a gifted Marriage and Family Counselor, Trauma Recovery Specialist, Ordained Minister, and Aikido Instructor. He has served as a Director of Counseling for a Juvenile Court School, a school counselor, history teacher, college instructor and a Marine Corps Captain. His current work is focused on individual family counseling where trauma is indicated.
As we endeavor to be more conscious parents, a more conscious partner for our beloved, we recognize the need to connect with, resolve, and release whatever traumas, fears, thoughts, memories, desires, cultural conditionings, and other stereotypes that keep us from being fully present for our children and beloved.
We make a commitment to discovering ourselves through our sacred family, a commitment to discover and live true selfless love. We form a family bond that is committed to openness, to communing and to exploring life together.
As an evolutionary family we seek out and acknowledge the gifts each family member brings to the love affair we are co-creating with one another each moment. We acknowledge and are aware of the evolutionary potential, the potential for much deeper love, perception and understanding, that comes through seeing each other as mirrors and reflectors by which we can learn more about ourselves—through which we can resolve and release past traumas and other energies blocking the full expression of our love. We stop blaming others and start seeing parts of ourselves in them.
Within an evolutionary family, common family situations transform what could be challenging times where someone or everyone gets wounded into win/win results for everyone. We use creative conflict and self-examination to enhance our growth and experiences of living in and as peace, love and bliss. We realize that intra-family work is more exciting and meaningful than anything else. We choose to heal the evolutionary path of past generations bringing an end to unconscious actions.
Paramahansa Yogananda said, “Parents and children should understand that their relationship is not fortuitous, but is due to a divine plan. Family life is the laboratory in which human love can be transformed into God’s perfect love.
Parents should look upon their child as the honored temple where their conjugal love can be purified and expanded into filial love. They should feel that they are serving God in that little temple. Children, in turn, should look upon their parents as visible representatives of God on earth.”
At the very core of an evolutionary family is prayer and meditation. Prayer and Meditation helps us see into our family life and provide us with the energy and illumination to solve our problems. A family meditation program leads us to deeper, richer friendships; freedom from anxiety; spontaneity and creativity in play; open, loving family relationships, and feelings of trust and safety.
Meditation assists in shifting “survivor” brain reactions that propel us into the limited reactions of being a “loner, pleaser or controller” into stabilizing responses that we will discuss during the program.
Meditation awakens dormant brain cells, giving us access to the 85 to 90% of the brain most people do not use. It stimulates the brain neurons, increasing their capacity to allow more awareness to enter our consciousness.
Meditation improves self-image. Children learn they can become a master of themselves by quieting their bodies, emotions and thoughts to experience the deeper reality of their spirit. They gain a sense of inner authority as questions are answered from within.
In the joy, sense of well-being and direct perception that opens up, children gain self-reliance and can do better in whatever interests them. The gradual development of deep concentration that goes with meditation becomes part of their character. Then the vibrant and often scattered energies of childhood become directed and used, by the children themselves, to achiever their own goals.
Whether you are a parent, grandparent, caretaker, educator, expectant parent, or simply someone who wants to live a blissfully conscious and productive life with rewarding relationships in each and every moment, join Cliff and Timothy as they explore Living and Loving As An Evolutionary Family.

Discovering and Living Your Bliss, Part 2
Monday Mar 30, 2015
Monday Mar 30, 2015
Aired Monday, 30 March 2015, 7:00 PM ET
Paramahansa Yogananda says, that no matter what we do in life “ . . . the ultimate end—which all other ends merely subserve—is the avoidance of pain and want, and the attainment of permanent Bliss.”
He goes on to say, “ Love gives joy. We love love because it gives us such intoxicating happiness.” But “ . . . love is not the ultimate; the ultimate is bliss. God is Sat-Chit-Ananda, ever-existing, ever-conscious, ever-new Bliss.”
As a conscious parent, reconnecting with, experiencing, and following your bliss has immeasurable benefits for your children.
Your children are sponges. They are learning from you directly and by osmosis.
If you are following your bliss, your children will naturally follow their bliss. You will be the role model of bliss they need to stay in touch with, magnify, fully embody and share their bliss.
Last week we began walking through a very practical, in depth, step by step process that you, regardless of your faith or current circumstances in life, can use to discover, access, use and fully embody your Sat-Chit-Ananda: ever-existing, ever-conscious, ever-new Bliss. We looked at the people, places and experiences that bring you bliss.
This week we’re going to continue developing your own personal recipe for creating and living a blissful life in each moment by looking at the activities you love to do; the things you love to use; the ideas and knowledge you love and have; as well as the problems, issues and needs you love to solve.
We’ll really delve into the “needs” ingredients as understanding and addressing our children’s needs, as well as our own, is the very heart of conscious parenting, conscious living.
Join us and create your own recipe for living a blissful life in each moment—bliss with your children, family, friends and co-workers; bliss you can live in, breathe in, eat in, play in, work in, rest in and sleep in.
Greg Phillips says, “We create our own world with the ingredients we put into it, so take care with your recipe.”
The Poet Saint Rumi encourages us to, “Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love.”
Writing in The Art Gallery in Transition, Hilde S. Hein, said, “ . . . what you define as “ordinary” can be full of bliss, elevating the rhythm of your life so that what used to be extraordinary is now a normal part of your day.
And Veronique Vienne said, “The only difference between an extraordinary life and an ordinary one is the extraordinary pleasures you find in ordinary things.”
Join us whether you are a parent, grandparent, caretaker, educator, expectant parent, or simply someone who wants to live a blissfully conscious and productive life with rewarding relationships in each and every moment.

Sathya Sai Baba said, “Where there is FAITH, there is LOVE; Where there is LOVE; there is PEACE; Where there is PEACE; there is GOD; Where there is GOD; there is BLISS.”
During the past two programs, which you are encouraged to listen to in the Conscious Parenting Archives, we have learned how to tangibly increase our experience of faith, love, peace and our connection to God.
We have learned how our experiences of faith, peace, love and God help us embrace all living beings and our individual life circumstances with and in those same qualities.
We have explored how faith, peace, love and God are common to all religions, all faiths.
We have learned how our faith, peace, love and connection to lead us to ongoing, tangible experiences of the bliss we are.

You’ll learn the signs and feelings you experience when you find and follow your bliss.
You’ll learn how to remove the impressions lodged in the depths of your subconscious mind that keep you experiencing the roller coaster of happiness and sadness, joy and sorrow, so you can enter into the ever increasing, ever present experience of the ecstatic bliss that you are.

Living In and As Love, Peace and Bliss Part 2 – Unity of Faiths
Aired Monday, 16 March 2015, 7:00 PM ET
As we continue to explore and experience our inherent Love, Peace and Bliss from last week’s program, we will also be exploring the spiritual unity of all humankind.
In the song “Imagine”, John Lennon sings,
“Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one.”
Dividing land into countries creates a separateness. Dividing spirituality into religions creates separateness. John Lennon imagines a world without separateness—a world where we all live as one.
A world where there is one religion—LOVE—and many ways to practice that religion.
Every religion is a beacon that lights the path to Love. Every religion sings the praises of God. Every religion speaks of Truth. In today’s program we’re going to explore the common principles embraced by the different religions of the world and how that can lead us to experience the BLISS we are.
As we explore the unity within the many faiths our goal is to assist in helping you to:
1. Teach your children that peace, equality and oneness are taught by all religions.
2. Enrich your children’s hearts with a deeper love for their own faith and at the same time embrace respect for other faiths.
3. Highlight the broad features of each religion and the fundamental values and principles common to all religions.
We will be exploring the spiritual unity of all humankind and not fostering the religious aspects of any one specific religion.
Kahil Gibran said, “I love you when you bow in your mosque, kneel in your temple, pray in your church. For you and I are sons of one religion, and it is the spirit.”
Today’s program is for parents and children.
There will be guided visualizations, storytelling, and sharing’s where you and your children can tangibly experience the love at the core of each person.
Today’s program will help you and your children embody and radiate unity, faith, love, peace and bliss, like rays of life-sustaining sunshine.
Join us whether you are a parent, grandparent, caretaker, educator, expectant parent, or simply someone who wants to live a conscious and productive life with rewarding relationships.

Living In and As Love, Peace and Bliss Part 1

Aired Monday, 9 March 2015, 7:00 PM ET
Sathya Sai Baba said, “Where there is FAITH, there is LOVE; Where there is LOVE; there is PEACE; Where there is PEACE; there is GOD; Where there is GOD; there is BLISS.”
On today’s program we’ll follow that magical path that leads from Faith to Love, from Love to Peace, from Peace to God, and from God to Bliss.
Parents and children alike will enjoy this magical path.
We’ll share ways you can be the love, peace and bliss your children need to thrive.
We’ll share ways that children can learn to hold on to or regain their natural state of love, peace, and bliss.
LOVE: Chris Moore says, “Love… What is love? Love is to love someone for who they are, who they were, and who they will be.”
PEACE: In the Course in Miracles it says, “I must have decided wrongly, because I am not at peace. I made the decision myself, but I can also decide otherwise. I want to decide otherwise, because
I want to be at peace.”
BLISS: Henry Miller said, “It’s good to be just plain happy;
it’s a little better to know that you’re happy; but to understand that you’re happy and to know why and how and still be happy, be happy in the being and the knowing, well that is beyond happiness,
that is bliss.”
As we walk along this magical path of love, peace and bliss, there will be guided visualizations, storytelling, and sharing’s where you and your children can tangibly experience the love, peace and bliss of your hearts and souls.
Today’s program will help you and your children experience the love, peace and bliss that you truly are as you navigate the unchartered waters of daily living with clarity, confidence, and ease.
You’ll discover that you don’t have to go anywhere or do anything to enjoy a constant flow of love, peace, and bliss.
St. Augustine said, “People travel to wonder at
the heights of mountains,
the huge waves of the sea,
the long courses of rivers,
the vast compass of the ocean,
the circular motion of the stars; and
yet they pass by themselves without wondering.”
Join us whether you are a parent, grandparent, caretaker, educator, expectant parent, or simply someone who wants to live a conscious and productive life with rewarding relationships–together we will explore what it’s like to live in and as love, peace and bliss.

The Wonders of Loving Our Children and Our Selves Unconditionally
Aired Monday, 2 March 2015, 7:00 PM ET
Nicholas Sparks said, “What it’s like to be a parent? It’s one of the hardest things you’ll ever do but in exchange it teaches you the meaning of unconditional love.”
On today’s program we’ll delve into the miraculous wonders of unconditionally loving our self, our children, and others.
Hafiz of Shiraz said, “Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth, ‘you owe me’.
Look what happens with a love like that.
It lights the whole sky.”
The unconditional love of parent’s lights up something even greater – the hearts and souls of their children.
When children experience unconditional love, when they are treated as the blessing they are, free of expectations and desires of others, they too will treat others with unconditional love.
Today's program is for parents and children.
We’ll share ways you can be the unconditional love your children need to thrive.
We’ll share ways that children can learn to extend their natural tendency to love unconditionally.
We’ll share ways you and your children can love yourselves unconditionally at all times.
There will be guided visualizations, storytelling, and sharing’s where you and your children can tangibly experience the unconditional love of your hearts and souls.
Today’s program will help you and your children embody and radiate unconditional love, like rays of life-sustaining sunshine, as you navigate the unchartered waters of daily living with clarity, confidence, and ease.
Stephen Kendrick said, “The only way love can last a lifetime is if it’s unconditional. The truth is this: love is not determined by
the one being loved but
rather by the one
choosing to love.”
Join us whether you are a parent, grandparent, caretaker, educator, expectant parent, or simply someone who wants to live a conscious and productive life with rewarding relationships–together we will explore the Wonders of Unconditionally Loving Our Self, Our Children and Others.

Embodying Reverence for All Life!
Monday Feb 23, 2015
Monday Feb 23, 2015
Aired Monday, 23 February 2015, 7:00 PM ET
Albert Schweitzer said, “I can do no other than be reverent before everything that is called life.
I can do no other than to have compassion for all that is called life.
That is the beginning and the foundation of all ethics.”
Everyone and everything is so unique.
No one looks exactly alike.
No one thinks exactly alike.
No one does everything exactly the same.
Everyone has UNIQUE gifts, UNIQUE talents.
Appreciating the UNIQUENESS of OURSELVES along with EVERYONE and EVERYTHING ELSE in the world helps us develop a reverence for life.
Mother Teresa said, “The problem with the world is that we draw the circle of our family
too small.”
In today’s program we will extend this circle to encompass all life everywhere!
We’ll recognize, honor, and cherish each other for the incredible beings we ARE!
Pierre Teilhard De Chardin said, “We are one, after all, you and I. Together we suffer, together exist, and forever will recreate each other.”
Todays program is for parents and children.
We’ll share ways you and your children can develop a reverence for yourselves and all of life.
Jiddu Krishnamurti said, “If you lose touch with nature you lose touch with humanity. If there’s no relationship with nature then you become a killer; then you kill baby seals, whales, dolphins, and man either for gain, for ‘sport’, for food, or for knowledge. Then, nature is frightened of you, withdrawing its beauty.”
There will be guided visualizations, storytelling, and sharing’s where you and your children can tangibly experience the reverence of your hearts and souls.
The refrain to one of my favorite songs goes like this: “Because the One I love lives inside of you, I lean as close to you as I can.”
This is how we feel when we have reverence for and show reverence to everyone.
Today’s program will help you and your children embody and radiate reverence, like rays of life-sustaining sunshine, as you navigate the unchartered waters of daily living with clarity, confidence, and ease.
Mahatma Gandhi said, “In this scheme there is nothing low, nothing high. For all is one, though we seem to be many.”
Join us whether you are a parent, grandparent, caretaker, educator, expectant parent, or simply someone who wants to live a conscious and productive life with rewarding relationships–together we will explore the Wonders of Embodying Reverence for All Life!

Creating a Smiling Body
Monday Feb 02, 2015
Monday Feb 02, 2015
Aired Monday, 2 February 2015, 7:00 PM ET
Gather all your family members together for this week's show and experience the true joy and miraculous wonders of smiling-truly smiling.
It takes far less effort and far less facial muscles to smile than to frown or just be without a smile. Your whole face lights up whenever you smile!
An unknown author said, "I've never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful."
Have you ever seen pictures of or been with saints and fully realized Masters like Christ, Buddha, the Dalai Lama, or others.
Their smile is ever present, even when they're not smiling. You can see they have touched a happiness, actually a bliss, deep inside themselves that is always there.
And that inner smile is always there in you too! It's there in your children, your beloved, your family members-everyone!
Another unknown author said, "A smile is the light in the window of your face that tells people you're at home."
How do the great beings keep those inner smiles glowing, lighting up the windows of their faces?
It's really quite easy and tonight we will explore and experience just how they do it!
You'll learn how to smile in the midst of your daily activities and challenges.
You can quickly become an expert at turning lemons into lemonade.
The great comedian Phyllis Diller said, "A smile is a curve that sets everything straight."
Your smiling face can melt other's hearts, soothe other's minds, and bring joy to others.
Everyone truly does smile in the same language!
Jim Beggs said, "Before you put on a frown, make absolutely sure there are no smiles available."
A smile really is worth more than a million words!
Smiles are love!
And your smile benefits you as much as it does everyone else.
It benefits your body and your mind! You can smile all the time just for you.
Andy Rooney said, "If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it."
Join us whether you are a parent, grandparent, caretaker, educator, expectant parent, or simply someone who wants to live a conscious and productive life with rewarding relationships-together we will create a smiling body that you will love living in.
